Ikola wrapped its wings about itself, and replied.
Is not starvation a form of death? My beings would not have known hunger, or pain. There would have been no Death, no need for it. I do not deny that foul Krulsk-spawned Death has wormed its way into this existence, but I reply to your declaration that it NEED NOT BE SO.
Ikola's filamentous form shimmered and pulsed with emotion as it spoke.
You view Life as inherently linked to Death because you have never observed it to be another way. You do not KNOW this to be a universal truth, you merely parrot the tired arguments of my Enemies, that Life requires Death. It IS NOT SO. I am Life, and I need none of what my Enemy provides. Is not Death Chaos? Is not Life the building up of a solid, lasting Order from the disparate elements of the world?
the God sighed, and let its wings fall.
Perhaps I am too harsh on you, Child. You are a product of this fallen world as much as the creatures which inhabit it. To you, who knew no different, Life and Death do seem linked. But will you at least entertain the possibility that, had things not progressed as they did, this link might not have existed?
~Mazunti Lands (or Waters)~ The silverfish were a valueable resource to the Mazunti. Desperate to forge more of their spectacular new weapons, they mined the ocean depths for the creatures. When the Kalamar established trade with them, yet more were caught to satisfy the needs of another people. Soon, the fish grew scarce, and the Mazunti realised what they had done.
1 Time - Harm Time takes its toll on the Silverfish, and overfishing causes the resource to diminish.
~Qib Lands~ Faced with new threats, a new power rose to lead the Qib. The Sons of Q'lthali, as they thought of themselves, were more than just the Qib. They were the Ala-Qib.
2PP + 1 Evolution + 1 Generate - Shape: Ala-Qib The Ala-Qib evolve from the ranks of the Qib-Atha. They are to the Qib what Ogre Magi are to Ogres, and form a new subrace imbued with the powers of Chronomancy.
1PP + 1 Impose - Guide: Chronomancy As the Ala-Qib evolve, they develop powerful magics.
~Beneath The Sea~ The earth groaned. It broiled. It roared. The sea may cover the earth, but the earth yearned for freedom. Rent in its frustration, its searing blood burst forth, and its fingers reached towards the sky.
2 Time - Command As time goes by, volcanic activity causes an archipeliago to form around the Fields of Fire and the south-east peninsula of the mainland.
~Amonst the Goblinoids~ Unable to crush the remaining humans, the warlike goblinoids begin to seek easier prey, taking on the tasty pixies to the north.
1 Empower - Harm The pixies suffer losses as they are hunted by more powerful foes.
~Omus Looks Down on the Sea~ Omus saw stormclouds broiling in the atmosphere, and tiny creatures like ants scurrying across the face of the earth. He would need to give his new weather patterns a little more attention, it seemed, for whilst he had thought the sentience had seperated from them, forming the new god of Fire, it seemed as though he had been wrong. Two new gods now roamed the world below.
For now, however, he turned his gaze to the flowing rivers and seas of the world. How strange, that this water should resemble his own domain so! Indeed, like time, it flowed, and if dammed would simply change its course, yet still flow inexorably to the inevitable end. Water was strange. It all seemed to be connected, somehow, as if each drop remembered that it was part of a greater whole.
Omus' consciousness followed a river back to its source - but not the wellspring which emerged from the ground, its spiritual source, its temporal source. Soon, he found himself gazing upon the vast sea which connected it all.
1 PP + 2 Time - Forge: The Eternal Sea Omus unveils the Eternal Sea, a plane entirely of water. It is through the Eternal Sea that all water is connected, and a powerful arcanist would in theory be able to enter the Sea via even a small puddle. The Sea is also connected with the power of Chronomancy, since water in connected not just across space but across time as well. In fact, a ship could sail via the Eternal Sea to any point in time, though in practice, this would be far too uncontrolable and dangerous - more likely the ship would sail for ever out of sight of land. Very rarely, ships or sea creatures are transported via Chronomantic storms to the Eternal Sea, but usually only powerful magic would allow mortals to enter or leave the Sea deliberately. I guess this also leads to the development of spells like Transport Via Puddles and Aquatic Plane Shift.
"Parrot their arguments? And how might I be doing that when I have never met these enemies? Life can be ordered, but it can also be chaotic. Death is no different. When we confronted the being of chaos before, I explained why I would not fight him, and the same thought proccesses applies here to you. Without death to define life, life has no meaning. Life into death to bring forth new life, each on giving shape and definition to the other."
"As I see it, the worst that could happen had things not prgressed in this way, life would have no definition, no purpose. You would not exist. As a corallary, I would not exist. Nothing you or I have created would exist. Very likely, nothing would exist, and all would be a blank void of nothingness. At best, without a conflict to define and energize you, you would simply have fallen to sloth, and all you have created would still not exist."
"Do no despise that which you do not understand, that which opposes you. No, revel in it. Revel in the conflict it provides, the definition that comes from being able to point and say 'This is what I am, and that is what I am not.' Value this animosity as a source of initiative, and apply it to add ardor to all that you do, to excel in your creation of greater and more abundant life at every turn so that, even as your foe works to undo what you have wrought, to have it die as the cycle proceeds, he must acknowledge some bit of respect and awe at what you are capable of. Finally, when he has finished, and all is dust, strive once more. Do it again and again, until the end of eternity, improving your works and growing better each time."

You set up a false difference, Child Order. You claim that Enemy Death is my opposite, but it is not. Or at least, it was not meant to be. This - the god touched the surface of the moon - The rest of creation, is my opposite.
As Ikola righted itself, a final strand of broken light reconnected, and Life flooded out once more, bathing the landscape in verdant life. Nearby, a line of scattered moon rocks of various sizes, from boulders to pebbles, suddenly jerked with life and assembled into a gigantic man shape. The shape strode away from the two gods, and in its wake, small beings of similar form danced.
Ikola watched them go with some shock, then turned back to Order.
Like Those.
3 PP: Spawn Superior Beast: Old Man of the Moon. A man-shaped assortment of rocks. If you've seen Galaxy Quest... like that. 1 PP: Spawn Beast: Lunads: smaller forms of the Old Man of the Moon.
"Hmmm..." He examined the landscape for a long minute or two and saw a large mound of earth jutting high above the rest of the earth. "How about that tall mound of earth in the distance? Looks like a good place to start."
The dragon twisted its bulk around the clouds, examining the earth below as it brought about misting rainfall which provided the trees below a source of sustenance. It looked up and noticed a large ball of earth reflecting light from a bright star. The dragon examined the ball for a moment. That seems too far for me to get to...
It thought for a moment longer. What if it were possible to get that high up? I am able to keep myself afloat here-- whynot try to experiment with going there? Coiling itself up, it sprung out from within the clouds, trailing a line of vapor from behind as it climbed the skies with astonishing speed. The air around it quickly began to freeze and the vapor around it started to freeze up into ice. The dragon pushed on until it reached a point where the ice became too much. Oh crap...It quickly lost speed and eventually reached a standstill for not even a moment before plummeting back down toward the earth below. The ice around it started to melt after reaching high speeds once again and it was able to break free of its chilling prison. It landed face-first into the puffy clouds and sent down a massive wave of water towards the forest below, which crushed the land below as it impacted the fragile ground. Trees fell over and were washed through the muddy water.
Once the chaos settled, the water spread out evenly as a small portion of the forest becomes a large lake. "Oopsie..." The dragon chuckled.

~In the Desert~ In the blistering desert, a menace rises.
It was assumed, afterwards, that some hobgoblins had stumbled through the Sands of Time. Even that theory did not explain their corrupted nature, however. Perhaps they were menaces from the future, brought back to torment the birth of civilisation. Perhaps a hobgoblin chronomancer tried to harness the power of the Sands and failed. Either way, the creatures came, and with them came fear.
1 Chronomancy - Spawn: Slicers Lanky, vicious and dangerous, the Slicers are humanoid creatures with broken minds. They seem to be infused with chronomantic energy, allowing them occasional bursts of incredible speed. (Note: Slicers are a 2PP Spawn, using the Age bonus)
"I'm finished arguing with you. What's more, I said I had plans, and yet you continue to place more creatures here in my way. Everything here will be moved away or destroyed, and this place can stay barren until I decide exactly what I want done here."
In a fit of childish anger, he lashed out at a nearby dryad, the pitiful creature crushed to dust in moments. Not satisfied, he gathered even more power, forming and shaping it into a creature that existed, yet did not, was living and yet not alive. A creature of nothingness. When he was finished, a creature of nightmarish aspect begin to wander on the hunt. Only it's outline could be seen, fifteen feet high and enourmous of weight. As it moved, vaugue hints of horns on its head and large upswept ears could be seen, and its face was a featureless mask, blacker than black, but not, instead almost being a complate absence of light with pale milky white eyes sweeping the vistas of the moon. Fully cloaked in smokey darkness, it was a thing of ebon shadow, each and every detail of face and form only the vaguest hint and suggestion of form.
It's voice caught on the wind, a distant echo upon a mocking breeze, "I hunger." Then it was gone, walking calmly across the moon, each and every living thing that it touched shrived, died, then vanished on the breeze as dust.
3 PP + 1PP (Age Discount) - Spawn Superior - The Void - The Void is a creature that lives but is not living. Its very presence consumes the energies of life, slowly killing things that are nearby to continue it's own existence. Further, those things tha come into direct conatact with the creature are killed almost instantly. For now, it wanders the moon to feed and grow stronger.

Turn 9. Omus meets his children, Altuna'Rhai and Maiten. Tensions rise between the Mazunit and Qib Atha and an exarch of Umi emerges from the kalamar. Ikola and Nos visit the egg races, and Nos grants them Ikola-based magics, but accidentally also gives them Krulsk-based magics as well. Distressed by the fighting, Ikola sends the egg races far away from one another, founding three cities and a fourth small village of those among the races that are willing to work together. On the moon, Order is awoken by an Exarch of Ikola, who begins to terraform the moon, much to the God's dissapointment.
Turn 10 Goblins strike out at the human race, who flee into their city and bar the doors. Vamprie squid prey on the Kalamar. Ryndell, Lord of Tea, ascends accidentally to godhood. Umi grants the sea itself a conciousness and the sea acts by throwing rivers over the face of the earth. Maiten and Altuna'Rhai continue to speak.
Turn 11. Sorry, got to put this off. It'll get done SOON.

As time wears on, the earth shakes. What was once blocked off, has now been opened. How big is it? No mortal race knows. One could spend a lifetime trying to map its dark, and cavernous paths. In the birthplace of a god, who knows what could happen there?
3PP command: The "hole of falrn" opens up and becomes this massive network of tunnels leading into a massive cavern almost as large as the world above, creating a sort of underdark.
I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.
