Oh, I'd rather try and start civilizations. Maybe that's just me being selfish and wanting to get in early, but yeah, there you go. Actually, though, I wouldn't mind getting in a little bit later, it sort of takes off the pressure. Not super later, but not right away either. I've started early in almost every game I've been in. Only the Empress started later and, well, she was my favourite. Oh, and he tells his guy friends he only likes black teas, but really he's into those fruity specialty teas with rose petals and bits of strawberry.

Okay... so lets say we *do* self-ascend at the same time, Anubis. We should probably, first order of business and all, ascend someone else... who should it be, and how should we, opposites as we are. do so?
Also... I'm thinking that perhaps you might corrupt me over time... I imagine that 'strangling the world' isn't going to be my *first* priority :D

You fight offcourse, and from the spilled blood or organs emerges the new deity :p
That's how my first god I ever played came to be, divine battle, one god ripping out the other ones heart and cast down on the earth where it later evolved into my deity

Sounds... messy. Then again, Anubis, your god probably has organs to spare, no?

Actually my god has more in common with an ooze than anything else, so he probably doesn't have any organs. Though he does have bones and teeth and such at times, so... I have no idea. As for the plan, that sounds good to me. The obvious god to ascend is of course Death, as Life and Corruption are pretty much on opposite ends of the spectrum with Death being smack bang in the middle being the end of life but not a mockery of it. Also, corrupting over time does sound fun

Well thought, you are correct sir!Io is my inspiration in this one. So, self-ascending or even being begetted would work, depending on how it is worked out.
BTW tea is awesome!
Anubis, its more like life/death, justice/corruption would be the opposites, but this could work out very well also!

This probably sounds like shameless self-promotion, but since it's actually down in the rules that you aren't guaranteed the Domain you asked for when you're begatted (begetted? begat?) I actually would totally not mind just being given a domain that makes sense for ascension. Seems more organic that way, and I like the idea of being challenged with a domain you hadn't thought of.

Thanks to Thought, I've sort of adjusted my god concept somewhat. Name: Three (or Four or Five or Nine or whatever number he enters the game at) Symbol: A black umbrella. Often depicted on a white backdrop with a white root system extending from where the handle should be into black ground. Appearance: Three has a few aspects which are, for all intents and purposes, all him. It can be speculated that he is, in fact, not these forms themselves, but actually the black umbrella they all carry. The form he takes depends on who happens to be looking at him at the time, and he can look differently to multiple viewers at the same time. The first is a man dressed all in black. No part of his body is actually visible for he wears black gloves, a black bowler hat and his face and neck are wrapped in black bandages. Three will appear this way to female observers. The second is a young, beautiful woman in a black dress with a full skirt. She too has no part of her body visible, for she wears gloves and a heavy black iron helmet obscures her face. Three appears this way to male observers. The third is a young male child wearing very formal black dress clothes. His black hair is slicked back, and though his body is not obscured, every inch of his skin is covered with what appears to be an elaborate skeleton tattoo. Three appears this way to those who are neither female nor male. Domain (Proposed): Loss (this is more a placeholder, though) Misc.: Using a suggestion of Thought's, Three has become more a god of the things we have lost or left behind, like forgotten memories or lost records. He is god of nostalgia and rejection. He is prayed to when we wish to retrieve something we have misplaced, or when we have something that we wish we didn't anymore. I like this because it can reconcile the things I was going to do with Three originally, and the things I was starting to think I'd rather do, which were of a far more grim disposition. I think Three can do that balance better like this. Though I'll probably bring the other version back as a creation of some sort. EDIT: I think we should brainstorm a bit here. We probably don't seem very inviting to newcomers, and also what was the point of having the OOC open for a while before the IC if we don't use the OOC to talk about stuff?

Okay, curious since you left something out Ara. What does it look like to viewers who are both male and female, rather than neither?
