(True Story) - You're playing a Defender class and think the best way to make yourself a target is to intentionally tank your defenses. - You're playing a Controller and think you are being helpful by sliding/pushing/pulling/teleporting the Swordmage's marked target adjacent to him every time the Swordmage gets some distance. Especially when you think the swordmage doesn't know what he is doing by leaving his marked because he keeps doing that and asking you to stop, repeatedly. (True and very annoying story). - You attack after the Warlord sets up a painful set of conditions on the Elite/Solo target supplying +Attack and +Dmg, BUT you NOVA on any target other then the Elite/Solo with the debuffs. - You see a floating treasure chest in a dungeon hallway, and immediately rush fowards to open it despite everyone else's facepalm and the DM asking "Are you sure?". (My first ever DnD game ... dang Gelatinous Cube. I was young and stupid.) - Your Barbarian misses one of the endlessly-spawning minions, and spends an Action Point to try and kill it (true story, even the DM facepalmed on that one). - Your next character is going to be a Minotaur Psion. - Warforged Paladin took Alchemical Blood: Necrotic to gain 1 point of extra damage on a daily. Feats are precious, my friends. I facepalmed. - Fighter kicked open the door to the goblin torture chamber, turned around, dropped trou and mooned the goblins for his surprise round. Got a hot poker where the sun don't shine and then was shoved into an iron maiden for his efforts. Just because you've got hilariously low Int and Wis doesn't mean you have to be suicidal :P - You wonder what Gelatinous Cubes taste like, and decide to find out. - You are dead (unless you're a revenat). - You're playing a vampire that sparkles in the sunshine ... and unlives on. - 5 of the 6 enemies are bloodied and no one in the party is using aoe. - Your rogue is a (living) half-elf Brutal Scoundrel, who tanks both Str and Dex and, rather than using his powers, insists on making melee basic attacks... with a greatsword. - You spend a Daily attack power only to find out that you just wasted it on a minion. (True Story) - You take Arcane Mutterings ... on a Sorcerer. - You retrain into Wall of Water, and Water to Ice in Epic. - You take standard-action single-attack encounter and daily powers ... on a Ranger. (Yes, believe it or not, there are people who actually do this.) - You're playing a vampire, at all. - You cast sleep to only target a standard and a minion (and know that each is such) during the first encounter of the day. - You build a revenant pixie and then proclaim you're going to fly up and perch on someone's shoulder. - You might be playing D&D wrong if you don't think a Revenant Pixie Swarm Druid is awesome beyond belief - Your DM keeps talking about how your Friend Computer wants you to eliminate the traitors and you cant work out why you have a laser pistol. - If you make a Bullywug Wizard/Psion hybrid because you think playing Hypnotoad is an awesome idea, then fail to take Hypnotism or any powers that target will. - The very first time you play a new edition you grab an op-cheese theoretical build and try to play it at the table and wondering why it doesn't seem to work. - You Dominate (Save Ends) an enemy and then tell it to attack the Striker in your party, because the Defender is too injured. - You dominate (save ends) and command the creature to do anything other than run around aimlessly to provoke as many OAs as possible. - .you keep saving all your daily and encounter powers (including Elven Acc) just in case some worse or stronger enemy turns up, even in an obvious boss fight, and end your day having not used any of them. - you use two move actions + action point + charge to leave your party in the dust and storm into the enemy encampment all on your own, with predictable results. - You try to convince your DM to let your warlock curse his allies, and then attack them so that he can trigger his fey pact teleportation. And keep asking until the entire table tells you to shut up. - You hurl your super optimized charger at a known bugbear strangler who is grabbing the tank. - You forget that in 4e, you can choose to do non-lethal damage when you would knock out or kill a creature, not beforehand. - You use all your daily powers in the first encounter of the day to prove to the rest of the group how awesome you are. - You are playing a Hybrid Assassin and choose to be Hybrid Binder instead of Hybrid Warlock because "Shadow walk as my hybrid talent, duh!" - You are attempting to play a snapping testudo. - You are riding a griffon mount indoors, and then say, incredulously, "What do you mean it suffers penalties?" - You get upset when your DM tells you that intimidating a god probably wont work... when you are level 3 (True story) - You get upset that your level 10 warlock can't hit anything with a 16 charisma and 16 dex. (also true story.) - You have to ask whether your 1st level fighter uses Strength to attack. - Your 1st level Ranger's first action is an RBA, and you're not a Hunter. - You believe a player has to AP to attack twice. - the other players are wondering whether you've even read the PHB. - you move next to two melee minions and use a ranged attack on one of them because "they're minions, they won't hurt me much." - you check the initiative order, see it reads "you, ALL the enemies, your friends", and charge into a crowd of enemies anyways. - initiative ALWAYS ends up as "all the enemies, all the party". (Because your DM and your party need a math check.) - You use a weapon that lets you MBA from 5 squares away, because you don't want to get close if you don't have to, with a class that only has 1 melee at-will. And dilettante Sword Burst instead of Booming Blade because as a striker you want to deal good damage to swarms and insubstantial creatures. - if you have to ask which die you need to roll for damage, using your trusty same-as-always short sword. And what to add to the attack roll. - if you spend the majority of your encounters without having CA for even a single round. As a rogue. - if you still have to ask what an AP does. If you even remember that there is something called "Action Point". - if the other players know you haven't even read the PHB. Well, most of them haven't either. - you as DM hopelessly look at your dice for the d7 to determine the day of the week. - you as a player actually have a d7. (I swear they actually make them.) - you build a character by randomly determining race and class and then get upset that it isn't what you wanted. (Our response, "It was your idea, idiot.) - you throw your dice off the table at least 5 times each evening. ("That is it, you now have to use a Trouble gameboard for your d6 rolls.") - you obey the keep out sign. - you take an infinite damage unkillable PC to a game.
F-111 Interdictor Long (200+ squares) distance ally teleporter. With some warlord stuff. Broken in a plot way, not a power way. Thought Switch Higher level build that grants upto 14 attacks on turn 1. If your allies play along, it's broken. Elven Critters Crit op with crit generation. 5 of these will end anything. Broken. King Fisher Does an excellent job at keeping an enemy disabled in a few ways. Strong. Boominator Fun catch-22 booming blade build with either strong or completely broken damage depending on your reading. Very Distracting Warlock Lot's of dazing and major penalties to hit. Overpowered. Pocket Protector Pixie Stealth Knight. Maximizing the defender's aura by being in an ally's/enemy's square. Yakuza NinjIntimiAdin: Perma-stealth Striker that offers a little protection for ally's, and can intimidate bloodied enemies. Very Strong. Chargeburgler with cheese Ranged attacks at the end of a charge along with perma-stealth. Solid, could be overpowered if tweaked. Void Defender Defends giving a penalty to hit anyone but him, then removing himself from play. Can get somewhat broken in epic. Scry and Die Attacking from around corners, while staying hidden. Moderate to broken, depending on the situation. Skimisher Fly in, attack, and fly away. Also prevents enemies from coming close. Moderate to Broken depending on the enemy, but shouldn't make the game un-fun, as the rest of your team is at risk, and you have enough weaknesses. Indestructible Simply won't die, even if you sleep though combat. Sir Robin (Bravely Charge Away) He automatically slows and pushes an enemy (5 squares), while charging away. Hard to rate it's power level, since it's terrain dependent. Death's Gatekeeper A fun twist on a healic, making your party "unkillable". Overpowered to Broken, but shouldn't actually make the game un-fun, just TPK proof. Death's Gatekeeper mk2, (Stealth Edition) Make your party "unkillable", and you hidden, while doing solid damage. Stronger then the above, but also easier for a DM to shut down. Broken, until your DM get's enough of it. Domination and Death Dominate everything then kill them quickly. Only works @ 30, but is broken multiple ways. Battlemind Mc Prone-Daze Protecting your allies by keeping enemies away. Quite powerful. The Retaliator Getting hit deals more damage to the enemy then you receive yourself, and you can take plenty of hits. Heavy item dependency, Broken. Dead Kobold Transit Teleports 98 squares a turn, and can bring someone along for the ride. Not fully built, so i can't judge the power Psilent Guardian Protect your allies, while being invisible. Overpowered, possibly broken Unnamed Avenger|Runepriest/Hammer of Vengance Do lot's of damage while boosting your teams. Strong to slightly overpowered. Charedent BarrageA charging ardent. Fine in a normal team, overpowered if there are 2 together, and easily broken in teams of 5. Super Knight A tough, sticky, high damage knight. Strong. Super Duper Knight Basically the same as super knight, only far more broken. Mora, the unkillable avenger Solid damage, while being neigh indestuctable. Overpowered, but not broken. Swordburst Maximus At-Will Close Burst 3 that slide and prones. Protects allies with off actions. Strong, possibly over powered with the right party.
