Q345: Using the 12/17/12 packet, I can't find any mention of flanking (or surrounding) giving advantage or bonuses. Did I miss something somewhere or is it just not in this iteration?

A345  Nope.  There are no rules for flanking in this packet.

Q346: Can clerics use spell scrolls that they find as treasure?  They don't have access to Read Magic, so how are they supposed to "decipher" it (Magic Items, p. 21)?  Is there a cleric equivalent to Read Magic or are wizards the only ones who can currently use spell scrolls?

A346: You're right, Clerics currently cannot read a Spell Scroll since they don't have access to Reag Magic or a similar effect to decipher it.

EDIT I poked Mike Mearls on Twitter and here's what he said:

Can Clerics use a Spell Scroll in #dndnext even if they don't have access to Reag Magic or a similar effect to decipher it ?
should not need read magic if they have spell on their list

A346: I'd make this work for your campaign as you like. For example a good update might be that: Mages can't use divine scrolls at all and clerics simply need to look at a divine scroll for a few minutes 'id' it before they can use it as if they had 'read magic'
Currently running a playtest, weekly, online D&D Next Session using a virtual table system called roll20.

Yeah, we figured it's just a playtest oversight, so we're having Guidance also work as Read Magic for now. Thanks!

Q347:

What manuevers can be used while dual wielding?

Also, if you declare a dual wielding attack, can you target Monster A with your offhand weapon, and Monster B with your main hand weapon?

What about Riposte?

or Lunge?

Thank you for your time.

A347: You can attack any target within range when Two-Weapon Fighting.

You can use the Composed Attack, Glancing Blow, Lunge, Shove Away and Trip maneuvers while Two-Weapon Fighting because they don't use an action, a reaction or require a ranged attack for exemple.

You cannot use Two-Weapon Fighing when you Riposte because you do so as a reaction when making an opportunity attack, while you use Two-Weapon Fighting as an action instead.

A296.    One check is all that is required. Under Stealth p 8:
"You make one Dexterity check for this contest."

--- Now if there is a guard who is actually alert, he might be getting checks every round to spot/listen, but those aren't the free type of Wisdom checks I would give the guys sitting around the campfire telling stories. The campfire guys get one check, and the sneaker only ever makes one sneak.

Hello again!

Thanks for the answers. I have a couple more questions for Hide in Shadows:

Q348: Someone is Hiding in Shadows (as per the feat) during combat and enemy combatants know of his existence but they are fighting his/her allies. Do they get to roll Wisdom checks to  notice him every round, or must they be solely searching for the hidden character?

Q349: When someone is Hiding in Dim light does he/she suffer any penalty on movement?
