A296: In addition, Wotc_Trevor tweeted that in the 12.17.12 packet they regenerate at the start of each turn.
Given the lack of an answer in this packet (as well as ambiguities from previous packets), I think it is fair to say that this is a moment where we can give actual feedback on start vs end decisions for MDD. If you haven't playtested both, then I suggest to please playtest start of turn and give feedback. I imagine this will be clarified in the next packet more clearly.

There is still some confusion between the packet and what Mike and Trevor's tweeted: Start of turn = once per round Once per turn = multiple times per round (based on the last definition of it) @Trevor_WotC: Yeah, your dice refresh at the beginning of your turn and you only get one reaction per round. @monstermanual: Martial dice refresh at the start of turn, so if you use them on your turn, they're gone for the rest of the round? @Trevor_WotC:If you use them all, yep. @Lokiare: One that that needs fixed is MDD recovering on each turn. That means 6d6 damage 3 times per round with combat reflexes. @mikemearls:Yeah, high level playtest really cast a light on that. The monk had a potion of speed. @monstermanual: Wouldn't the Monk just have an extra reaction on the same turn from Combat Reflexes? That wouldn't give more dice uses. @Lokiare: its all in the definition of a turn. Each char gets a turn in a round... @monstermanual: I see what you mean. It's confusingly worded, but @Trevor_WotC told me they recharge at the start of your next turn. @mikemearls: I don't have rules with me, but I think recharge is @ start of turn @Lokiare that's what you inteded, but that's not how it reads...

The exact text says "you cannot use it again on the same turn" which does seem to imply that you would get them on everyone else's turns as well, although you only have one reaction per round.
This means, you'd be free to use them to parry and deal damage. I'm not sure this was the intention, but the ambiguity is there.

Q297: I know this has been asked many times, and I've even asked it before, but I want to make sure I'm not going to screw anything up.
I have created custom content for the playtest. What are the limits on posting it/displaying it? I see conflicting views on the matter, and the OPTA is not exactly very clear. Where/How can I post it, if it's possible.

A297: You can publish custom content as long as it doesn't disclose confidential info from the playtest packets. If you want to see an exemple of custom content already published, check out D&D Next: Morally Ambiguous Character Backgrounds by The Dread Gazebo

Ok. My content is custom races mainly, at this point. While most of it is original, there are a few shared mechanics. Ergo, I'm sure I can't post it on a blog or outside source. But, can I post it in the forums? People post their wanted versions of mechanics and custom things all the time here. Would that be ok?

The custom content you are allowed to post can be posted whereever you want. About the shared mechanic parts, you can always PM WoTC_Trevor for approuval if in doubt.

A298 That's more of a rules guideline than a rule. What would you like to know about it?
