To be honest that one was basically a rough draft, I intend to fix it up and get it all structured once I've seen what the crazy old men have to say. =o

It would also be helpful if the initial posts were updated so we don't do double work. I have near identical tiefling paladin builds right here a couple pages back. Or perhaps a disclaimer in the first post to search the thread before posting.

Yeah, I'll go ahead and update the post. No reason beyond laziness that I haven't done so already.

So you do. Can't believe I missed that. Ah well, I can always blame sleep deprivation.

Various issues: I'd look for a 16/14/14/13 array with a Cha/Wis Paladin. That gives a number of advantages, particularly when that means you have a 16 Con/14 Wis/18 Cha at level 1. That ratio means you can ignore Born under a Bad Sign for a number of better backgrounds, such as getting resistance vs cold/thunder/+fire. At the very minimum, the 12 in Str should be in Con for a +1 fort/healing surge.
You have a lot of ways of spending healing surges - at 8th, you can spend 4 healing surges any time you want as a minor. Why do you need two ways to spend a healing surge to gain temps? I'd use the level 6 on something more useful - Wrath of the Gods for a minor to crazy boost your party or Call of Challenge for that 3rd mass sanction.
Otherwise looks decent.

Aye, I'd been considering that array from the start, but where I wound up was with an eye towards Battle Awareness, even if only in Paragon. That said, it was a tough choice for a number of reasons, not the least of which the lower Con meaning less surges.
As far as Virtue Mk II at level 6, I totally get your point, and originally I was going to go with Call of Challenge. Thing is, at least in my experience, the third mass-sanction in a single encounter was significantly less useful than the first two, whereas having a second burst of THP right when you drop your second sanction burst has gotten me through some rough treatment before. Of course, as mentioned, this is also the point where your number of surges becomes an issue. It's... hard to balance, and I was going to make mention of that quite specifically in my actual fer rlz post. I guess when it comes down to it, it really depends on the fight and your DM.
As for Wrath of the Gods, well, I'd never argue it wasn't great at what it does, but I'm just plain biased against Daily utility powers when you have access to Encounter utilities that are great.

Well, you can always switch out the e1 for Guardian Light, as well.

With the 13, you can afford a 13 Str. You don't have any real need for Dex with Imperious Majesty and -1 Reflex over your current stats isn't going to break your build. Battle Awareness then becomes a heroic tier choice for all the reasons that it is good.

I think one of the big advantages of Call of Challenge is how it intersects with Valorous Smite. You can miss with Valorous Smite and mark everyone anyway. It also allows an interesting tactical option in the following way:
Move to first group of targets Minor Call of Challenge or Tiefling Mark depending on which is better - Tiefling Mark is probably a better one due to positioning issues Standard: Charge with Ardent Strike onto the next big group of targets, preferably the BBEG in the back. AP: Valorous Smite with Ironwrought
