Howdy folks... here's my Pixie Desert Wind Monk for a campaign I'm in. The magic items could be better, but I'm limited to
- one Uncommon item at level +1
- one Common item at level
- two Common items at level - 1 (though I convinced the DM to give me three lower level Common items)
Campaign is only at 16th level so I didn't bother building beyond that. I added some extra fire flavor with a theme and some feat support. If something is redundant or flat out stupid, please let me know. Thanks. Spoiler:

Why slashing kama style instead of crashing tempest?
And your FoB will do more damage if you the 16, 16 starting spread. You will be at 22, 22 at L16 which will increase your FoB by at least 2.
Current FoB: 2+5(base)+5(blistering flourish bonus)+2(Ki Weapon)+4(PP bonus) = 18
Possible FoB: 2+6(base, Cha 22)+6(blistering flourish)+2(Ki weapon)+2(crashing tempest)+4(PP)= 22
One issue with slashing kama style, there is no clear ruling on whether or the ongoing damage from it is fire or untyped.

With Blistering Flourish, it is fire.

FoB only triggers if you hit. Going 20 post-racial dex makes hitting more likely. Increases the DPR. As a dex-primary class there really isn't ever a downside to going to 20.

The FoB itself is fire. Still no clear ruling. There were threads that went back and forth about this.
I did not say there was a downside for that, I just mentioned that he could more damage with the other set up.

No, he couldn't. That is the point. He does more damage overall with 20/16 than with 18/18.

Oh... just lost my post. ARRGHH I chose Slashing Kama for the potential. In the campaign I'm in Slashing Kama will do fire damage. Don't get me wrong, I really considered Crashing Tempest, but decided to try Slashing Kama to see if it might work well in actual play. And Initiate of the Dragon means that the FoB will not be hindered by any fire resistances that might be floating around. As for the stat array, I agree will Alcestis on this point. FoB only works on a hit, and the extra +1 to hit is better than extra damage on the FoB. Thanks for your input. It really made me think about Crashing Tempest again, but for now I'm keeping Slashing Kama.

This math seems off to me... Shouldn't it be... FoB: 2+5(base)+5(blistering flourish bonus)+2(Ki Weapon)+2(PP Bonus) = 16 If at some point in the future I switch out for Crashing Tempest, I think that would bump it up to 18.
