I picked up Halls of Undermountain and Madness at Gardmore Abbey.  I intend to run them consecutively with the PCs finding one of the cards from the Deck of Many Things somewhere in that first level of Undermountain.

What I'm trying to figure out, is where would be a good place in the Realms to drop Gardmore Abbey?

Maybe you could have the Abbey in Waterdeep and set it up so it connects with a part of Undermountain that the priests walled off from the rest of the dungeon in order to safeguard the evil artifact they wanted to store.

This way you can run Undermountain as normal but connect it at some point with a part of the Abbey dungeon. Maybe the chaoitic effects of the artifact are interacting with the enchantments of Undermountain, causing the walls to ooze and flow and making it possible for interlopers to get into the Abbey dungeon?

Also, what do you think of the dungeon tiles and monster tokens? Are they all in color? And how about the Deck of Many Things cards?

This adventure sounds awesome just for the bits and pieces.

Why not replace Helm's Hold as written in the Neverwinter Campaign Guide with Gardmore Abbey?

That would probably work. Or set it in the Goldenfields outside of Waterdeep to the east a short distance...

I've held of buying Gardmore Abbey as i couldnt see myself using it, until now. That is a cool idea. Methinks on payday I might just have to go and buy it.

If you do end up running with this idea I hope you will post about it here (please!). I love the Neverwinter Campaign Guide but I already use aboleth enough in my games so Helm's Hold, as written, really doesn't appeal to me.
