Notes and Build Ideas for Dire Rat  (see here)

the new themes for lycantropes has a wererat that with an encounter power changes your in to a dire rat (beast form) it also grants you a 'in place of' MBA that is highest +3 vs AC melee touch (no keywords), that does 1d4+highest mod, and if target granting CA ongoing 5 damage (save ends)

How can we capitalise on this, as it looks like we can do a bleeder kind of build?

saving a few posts for any additional info.

Notes
You are in beast form therefore
  • You can use Claw Gloves (level 4, uncommon, hands)  +1d10 damage with melee attacks if CA

Feats
  • If wildshape druid or with multiclass druid that give wildshape then
    • Stampede: After making a charge attack while in beast form, you can move 2 squares as a free action.
    • Enraged Boar Form+1 bonus to attack rolls and a +2 bonus to damage rolls with charge attacks
    • Ferocious Tiger Form: you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls against enemies granting CA
    • Druid of Darkness: (Drow) While you are in beast form, you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls against enemies granting CA.
  • Disciple of Torment
  • Icy Clutch of Stygia: (Tielfing)
  • Restless Dead + Potent Rebirth: (revenant) +4 to hit, +2 defenses, +2 damage, if sub zero hp

Paragon Paths
  • Thuranni Shadow Killer:
  • Coiled Serpent: (16th level feature) melee attacks in Beast form now do +2d6 extra damage
  • Blood Moon Stalker: (16th level feature) Frenzied Claws, crits on a 19–20.

It does have the melee keyword so any thing that will affect melee attacks will affect it.  I am thinking of a disciple power, one that penalizes people that have save ends effects you afflicted.  There is also the tiefling feat that you save against an affect they caused, you take x+mod damage changing by tier.

Edit:  Found the feats.  They follow.

Disciple of Torment

Prerequisite: Charisma 13
Benefit: Enemies grant combat advantage while subject to effects caused by you that a save can end.

Icy Clutch of Stygia

Heroic Tier
Prerequisite: Tiefling
Benefit: Whenever an enemy successfully saves against ongoing damage that you imposed, that enemy takes cold damage equal to your Charisma or Intelligence modifier.

The cold damage inceases to 5 + your Charisma or Intelligence modifier at 11th level and 10 + your Charisma or Intelligence modifier at 21st level.

Thuranni Shadow Killer can give you an instance of typed ongoing-damage on CA (with its 16th level feature) should you want to double on whatever benefits you want to bring to the table.

Claw Gloves.
Harrying your Prey, the Easy Way: A Hunter's Handbook - the first of what will hopefully be many CharOp efforts on my part.
The Blinker - teleport everywhere. An Eladrin Knight/Eldritch Knight.

CB != rules source.

Pernicious Onslaught

Heroic Tier
Prerequisite: You have a spellscar
Benefit: When a creature fails a saving throw against ongoing damage from one of your attacks, one creature adjacent to it takes fire and necrotic damage equal to the ongoing damage. If you have the Student of the Plague feat, the damage is equal to the ongoing damage plus 5.

Briar Thorns

Paragon Tier
Prerequisite: 11th level, wilden
Benefit: Whenever you deal ongoing damage to an enemy, the enemy is slowed until that damage ends.

Gladiator Theme

JAZST DANCER PATH FEATURES

Dancer's Grace (11th level): When you make a charge attack, run, or move as part of an attack power, you ignore difficult terrain.
Slicing Action (11th level): When you spend an action point to make an extra melee attack using a light blade, one target you hit takes ongoing 10 damage (save ends). The ongoing damage increases to 15 at 21st level.
Painful Wounds (16th level): When you make an attack that deals ongoing damage, the target of the attack also takes a -2 penalty to saving throws against that ongoing damage.

Ranger

RUTHLESS PUNISHER PATH FEATURES

Most Dangerous Prey (11th level): Against any humanoid target designated as your quarry, you gain a bonus to damage rolls equal to your Wisdom modifier.
Ruthless Action (11th level): You can spend an action point to reroll any attack roll against a humanoid target designated as your quarry, instead of taking an extra action.
Ongoing Punishment (16th level): You gain a bonus to the ongoing damage you deal equal to your Wisdom modifier. You also gain combat advantage against humanoid enemies that are taking ongoing damage.

Doesn't enhance the bleeding, but Rat Scurry + Staff of the Traveler (plus other teleport bonusses) is cool for teleport as an at-will movement mode.
