SO, I updated to the most recent version of the builder, and I had a monk before that - once I updated, there were some skills that broke (went down considerably) and even more importantly, it doesn't recognize the Monk as a class anymore? It says it's "house ruled"?
Anyone else experience this?

Cannot reproduce. Creating a monk works fine for me.
Another day, another three or four entries to my Ignore List.

I've got Cleric, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Warlock, Warlord, Wizard then under that, Avenger, Barbarian, Bard, Druid, Invoker, Shaman, Sorcerer, Wardem Artificer and Swordmage.
That's it.
Possibly files got corrupted on install?

In that order?
Which button are you selecting to start the character (New or Custom), and which campaign setting are you selecting?

I think the bolded is part of the problem. There has been no update to the offline builder since September of 2010. Whatever you downloaded was either an archived older version of the offline character builder (possibly the free version that only takes you to level 3 and does not include any material after PHB2) or an unofficial "update."

That must be what happened. I guess I was thinking they made an update to the rules or something so needed to update the builder for it to take effect.
