No; the album was titled 1999.  IIRC it came out in the late '80s/early '90s.

Oh.... I was hoping you said it came out in 99... cause then I wouldn't feel as old.

Whatever color you decide to go with, you know you have to have otters airbrushed onto it somewhere. At the least, you should have one on the hood.

Well, I installed the new front speakers, and I bought a new stereo/receiver.  Fortunately it all went smoothly on the install (didn't even have to splice any wires ysy!), I'm still fine tuning the settings of the stereo so it sounds it's best but it sounds much better than the old unit did.

Couple more weeks and I'm going to order the exhaust system for my car.

I'm leaning on either a Magnaflow stainless catback system or a Borla stainless system. We'll see what kind of deals I can find.

(They have the best performance, and the best sound out of any exhaust note I've sampled so far)

I already ordered the throttlebody airfoil (goes between the blades to make a smooth transition, rather than the flat surface that's there now which causes a crap ton of turbulence) 12 horse power gauranteed, for 40 dollars hell of a deal. I also got a power coupler thrown in for free. That replaces the crinkle plastic between the mass airflow sensor and throttle body. Depending on the shape of your crinkle plastic, and the extent that the engine has been modified that's good for another 10 hp on it's own. Even if it nets me only a couple, hell it was free.

I think I'm going with the Borla Exhaust on this.

For those wondering what's inside the brown tent building, it's a 1998 Camaro we're working on.

I'll snag some pics of it when we're done with it. And probably take some pics of my basketcase 86 Z28 too.

By the way with the roof off and a fairly short stretch of interstate to work with the car stretches her legs out to 120 really quickly.  I don't think I could have hit it's top speed with the top off though at about 100 the drag starts to really get noticable.  (top speed for this axle ratio and transmission is 147 I believe)

The stainless exhaust has come in for the car today. Tomorrow the Headers should be in.

T304 Stainless, so shiny that it's virtually a curved mirror. I literally could probably shave using the reflection in the pipes.

Needless to say I'm quite excited, since I'll be gaining around 40 ponies.
The car is giong to be loud enough to give old people heart attacks when I blip the throttle.

I decided to go with an OBX system vs the Borla system, for two major factors. 1 this will require less fabrication, and 2 this will actually net me more horse power due to the use of an X Pipe vs the 2 to 1 back to 2 factory style that the borla system tried to use.

It also sounds from the vids I've found like the car will be ready to tear the world to pieces when I give it throttle.

The throttle body airfoil came in last friday, and I can tell the car is abit peppier now, and getting just a hair better mpgs.

If the weather remains utterly crap like it has been I'll have to find someone to do the install for me. I want the system on the car ASAP.
