If the build is really focusing around Winged Hordes have you considered Illusion as your secondary school over Evocation?

Actually, why did you take the Evocation Master option and not the Pyromancy Master option?
Because the Pyromancy master option seems like more of a drawback than a boon for this build. Part of the appeal of a 9x9 winged horde is it doesn't hurt allies in the burst. If I took Pyromancy Master, I'd have to worry about my allies ending up in the fire zone.

I still cant conceptualize how you get it that big!
burst 1 = 3x3
burst 2=4x4 (enlarge)
Burst 3=5x5 (thunder)
burst 4=6x6 PP?
what am I missing?
