There are some serious bugs with the march 2012 update. Whenever I try to customize a monster, all of the damage expressions disappear and I have to reenter them. When add damage, the default setting is for ridiculously high damage numbers. I now have to check the damage expression chart from the Dungeon Master book to get proper damage numbers.

Furthermore, when I upgrade a monster to elite, it does not seem to get the bonus to saving throws and its action point. BUT when I go to print it, they appear.

I'll be submitting a formal bug report but I thought I should post here as well to draw attention to it.

The current edition is BECMI, the most popular form of Basic D&D and the adventure is the classic Red Box quest to kill Bargle the evil magic user. Check it out, learn about the games roots, and enjoy the story as it unfolds.

Actually, I hear this is a known issue and being fixed in a future release...

Yep, Teos has it right. This is a known issue and we are planning to fix it with the next update. Sorry for not getting back to you guys sooner on that one.

And that's why I continue to use my offline version.  It might not get updates, but it doesn't get broke either.

The offline tool hasn't really been the poster child for stability. I think the online tool has actually done better. A problem in March getting fixed in April? That's actually really good in comparison to previous history.

This is still not fixed. It has now been three weeks. All monsters are affected. If you press customize, all damage numbers are deleted, and you can't even easily get back into a good place by using the automatic damage, because that is giving insane figures. The Online Tool may get fixed faster than the Offline builder (but again, this has NOT been fixed, so speaking as if it has been or is about to be, as you are, is unhelpful), but the big difference is that with the offline tool, you could always roll back to an earlier version (or re-download it, or get someone to email it to you, or whatever, or just not upgrade if you were warned), so new problems to existing systems could be avoided. Whereas with the Online Tool, WotC have broken a feature that was working relatively well in the previous versions, and now have left it broken for most of a month. That's not something I had to put up with, with the offline tool.

Do we have any actual timeline for when they plan to fix it? They've said "in a future update", but are we looking at a week from now or three months? You seem to have some hard information that it is getting fixed in April. What's the date for that? It's now the 15th.

I'm hoping this gets fixed soon too. I really liked the ease of scaling, and prepping the next adventure for my group is now significantly more difficult.

The next update is scheduled for tomorrow (April 17th). I really hope these bugs are fixed in this update. The online MB has become a fantastic tool, one that I really depend on and keeps me subscribing to DDI, but these latest bugs are very frustrating. Hopefully everything gets straightened out tomorrow.
