I read something about a group of aliens in second edition planescape that are fairly powerful. I can't find the part I read again and I am wondering if there is a larger description of them anywhere in planescape. Anyone have any knowledge on them?

You read something about "aliens" in Planescape but now you can't find it?  Are you sure it was Planescape and that you are not crossing two streams of thought?

Considering the Planescape setting there are so many "fairly powerful" if not outright powerful species around in addition to deities that some group of "aliens" isn't going to make waves.

There's a lot in Planescape that would be described as "alien", but very little that could be considered "aliens". Do you remember anything else about where you read them (books, description, anything beyond "fairly powerful")?

The other meta-setting, Spelljammer, may have more literal aliens (as it is, with no exaggeration, D&D in space); are you sure there's no confusion here?

You could be thinking about Ultroloths, the strongest normal variety of Yugoloth.

They look sort of like traditional "Grey" aliens

\i am thinking it was in the planescape guide or players guide. I have been trying to find it. It didn't say much about them just that they were aliens that lived in ships or something, had technology and didn't see the gods as gods just powerful people.
