EE never misses. Therefore, it can never do half damage on a miss. All EE does is modify the triggering at-will attack. And since the triggering at-will attack is not itself an encounter power, TS can't add half damage on a miss to that either.

While EE doesn't have an attack roll, the feat does not appear to require an attack roll (Edit: I realize this sounds weird since the feat requires you to miss with the power, hence an attack roll).
It simply says that the power deals half damage on a miss. The attack roll involved would be the Sorcerer At-Will, so if you use the Sorcerer At-Will and EE, you either hit or miss and there's things that happen in either instance.
Maybe I'm not using the correct rules terminology here, but EE adds extra damage when you hit with the Sorcerer At-Will. It seems like Trusted Spellcasting would now give EE a miss effect when you miss with the Sorcerer At-Will (and used EE).
No, it wouldn't. It only affects the Encounter Power that Trusted Spellcasting is being applied to - and unlike the 11e of, say, Academy Master (where it tells you point-blank that you use an At-Will power as part of the power's effect, and would thus apply), the Escalations add targets and add extra damage, but do not produce a power in and of themselves.
In summation, you cannot allow Trusted Spellcasting to affect your Elemental Escalation for the sole reason that Elemental Escalation cannot miss... because you don't use it to attack, only modify an attack already in progress.

I do not know where you got that elemental escalation never misses. It has a trigger, you use an at will. It has an effect of adding a TARGET to that at will, which requires an an attack roll to hit. Nowhere does it say use this power on a hit.
The trigger is use an at will. If you roll to hit, the trigger is already passed and you can't use elemental escalation. At level27 the elemental escalation for fire states it does half damage on a miss. Obviously they think you can miss with it.
Edit: The attack does half damage on a miss for elemental escalation fire. I can see where you say that elemental escalation never misses. However it is still an encounter power, that does not apply it's damage if you miss with the at will that triggered it. No, I am not making a case to apply trusted spellcaster to elemental escalation. It would be rather broken if it did apply due to it working on basically all encounter powers for the elementalist.

EE wouldn't even be an attack power if it wasn't specifically labeled as one; it doesn't do damage, it doesn't have an attack roll, or a target. It's a power that modifies another power that happens to be an attack. When you use EE, whatever at-will you're using does more damage an has additional targets and effects. The at-will is still an at-will, just with a temporary boost from a different power.
EE and Trusted Spellcasting have no method of interaction, ever.

I'll concede to those that have a more intricate understanding of the rules. I can see an argument made either way, but I get the feeling that to have Trusted Spellcasting work with EE would be RAI.

I've always liked the phrase "Reasonable Use". This isn't Sword of Kings Power Attacking, so there's very little reason to disallow it from a balance perspective.
Really more of a "And yet again, why didn't WotC make it an oSorc instead of an eSorc?"

This guide is absolutely amazing, I'd like to say (sorcerer's have always been my favorite class fluff-wise) !
One thing that I'd like to add is that in the equipment section Dagger of Speed should definitely be added for an offhand implement. With regular sorcerers it's good, but with elementalits its great! Minor action elemental bolt that I can escalate? Yes please!

Hey Duelist, how's your schedule looking? Just curious because I really, really wanna see this guide finished, particularly since I'm having tons of trouble picking a good theme for my Sorcerer.
Mountain Cleave Rule: You can have any sort of fun, including broken, silly fun, so long as I get to have that fun too (e. g., if you can warp reality with your spells, I can cleave mountains with my blade).

I'm, in essence, refining how I craft this guide in comparison to how I worked on the Warlock book. I'm proud of it, don't get me wrong, but I'm allowing myself some time to at least think about how I want to format and prioritize in regards to what to rate and how.
This also pertains to themes, something that (like the Epic Destinies) I really wanted to go over in this one. The process has slowed down considerably, I'll grant that - and truth be told I've always had a problem working on projects with no solid deadline. But I have not forgotten this little guide, and will finish it up in due course, as best I can. :3
