Being able to just come back from the dead for free once a day, with no consequences, changes how the game plays.
That is from some but not all of the Epic Destinies. If you don't allow them in your campaign it certainly lowers the "crazier" element a lot.
It's from most of them, and all of them have crazy enough elements that the style of play changes.
More sex and gender equality and racial equality shouldn't even be an argument--it should simply be an assumption for any RPG that wants to stay relevant in the 21st century.
I could say anything in D&D is silly though, because it's a silly game and we are silly people.

I would love to have the Grey Elf subrace brought back. I would also enjoy having the Sun, Moon, Star, Desert, and Arctic subraces of elf brought back and re-introduced into 5e as well.
I am perfectly okay with halflings being called "halflings" in 5e. No need to invoke another copyright war with the Tolkien Estate.

I don't think it's even a matter of cost. The Tolken Estate is probably simply unwilling to sell the name "hobbit" for use in a non-Middle Earth product. It's not like they're exactly begging for royalties at the moment.
I love you guys.
