What? Essential style? No, I just thought we might want to push the different primary roles a bit further apart as they progress, too make sure not everybody is capable of the same things (the at-will and encounter attacks of a Leader/Striker and Defender/Striker can end of up being identical).
How is losing at-wills to gain encounter powers Vancian? I though vancian was all about spells/day?
However, I do want to be able to play this with a no-dailies ruleset: Whenever you would gain a daily power from your level advancement table you instead gain an additional use of your highest level encounter power.
Now I recommend you cleaning up this thread, compiling all additions and fixes and rewite-ing your first posts, so that we can finish this project before next christmas :D

Actually, if I'll just keep working on the google document it would be great if you could fill in the "Optional Rules" bit. There we would feature changes such as
- Usage of Power Points
- Exchange Dailies for Encounter attack powers
- Vancian (exchance encounter powers for daily attack powers)

Right now my google document has 2 daily power, I've yet to add the ones from this thread, and 4 encounter powers (I've yet to add your magical attack).
We need more powers!
And when that's done we need to tackle utility powers!
Edit: I forgot the summoning power!

Vancian magic also shares many of the same play style elements as the 4E powers system, especially in that, once a spell is expended, you have to rely on the other spells that you have not yet expended; in much the same way, once you've expended an encounter or a daily power in 4E, you must rely on your other powers. To sum up, Vancian spellcasting isn't just a mechanic; it's a play style.
and it seems they waant to keep the play style but it doesen't even hint on keeping the mecanics
So it's possible that they're going to make it look Vancian, although it'd be more like AEDU in disguise...

I woke up way too early and need some busywork until I have to go to work. I'm going to start compiling feats to go with this book.
Until then I'd like to see some work done on your behalf :D
Me and my friend are going to use this for a very special Zombie Apocalypse Campaign. There will be two groups (3 and 3, respectively), and one of the group's goal will be to find the save-haven of the other group, while that group's mission is to stop that from happening, since in the meantime the savehaven has been overrun by zombies. It's going to be two groups whose actions af effectiveness will have consequences for the other group. It's gonna be fun :D

I was looking over what classes we have not covered in this iteration, and I managed to make a new one: Runepriest.
The benefit is minor, and can be improved upon. I have yet not found a good way to phrase it.
Runepriest Benefit: Whenever you use a power or ability whose effect is determined by a single role, you gain access to that role's effect of Foe's Folly, Controller Zone, Rejuvenating Word and Deadly Strike until you use another ability determined by a single role.

WE FORGOT THIS
We forgot bonuses to defenses from leader classes, vulnerability granted, penalties to damage rolls and resistances.

You need a level 1 implement area attack. I know you have two attacks that affect multiple targets, but remember that Elemental Destroyer's damage bonus only applies to damage ROLLS.

I have yet to add your updates to my Google Document, and I've yet to write up all the stuff that has changed in my google document.
I made a newbie create a character using this system today. He has never played DnD, all he knows about the system is me rambling about skills and feats etc. It took him 1 hour and 12 minutes to create a full character, which is pretty good. Next week I'll have him do it again and see his time then.
He did have trouble picking powers. 2 at-will poweres with 2 riders each is a lot to compare, and I've updated my powers to be less of a hassle to select between, but I'm not completely done with it. We found out that no one in their right might (or not using the enlarge spell and elemental destroyer feats) would ever take encounter attacks that are not triggered action. I remade the encounter powers to make triggered attacks more balanced with standard-action attacks. I've also decided to make all encounter attacks non-triggered powers if I can. The only expections I make are powers that can be triggered of weapon or implement attacks (I don't want to mix up the weapon and implement keywords in a single attack).
I fixed and added a lot of character theme feats and even added character templates :D
