Well said, well put, spot on.
In my earlier love of the game, it was that- a love. Now it's more of an enjoyment.
The game (on a company level) is lacking heart- and I think you have hit it perfectly!
Well, at least they aren't changing the dice... I may have just jinxed myself

I would add a few words about the international market and the few attention that receive. In these times of globalization, neglecting the international market and in other languages like Spanish, it's not really a luxury that this company could afford. I wish they restructure and consolidate the community in USA, but remember that in Mexico, Spain and many other countries there is a large community waiting. (Sorry for my bad english).

From the post title I was expecting something along the lines of
"go home and die" :P
But, it's a good post. WotC could really make D&D big, especially if they had video interviews every week with the developers on Youtube, for example, instead of writing a DDI post on their site.
I think it's time for someone to take up the torch and make D&D cool all over the internet.
Enough with the lame 4e artwork.

Im from Mexico, and I agree 100% whit the post, Hasbro and WotC did not realize than D&D is a global hobby or they dont want/care about other countries.

This sounded like over-eager business consultant talk.
Over eager? Hardly. It IS the basic tenet of business and successful ones. D&D IS a business and to bring life to the brand, you must execute and show your passion. You have to SELL it. You have to BELIEVE in it. It's business 101 at it's best and the OP is 100% dead on.

I'm from the Bahamas and I do agree with this post. WoTC has adopted the old D&D attitude, which is to speak about D&D with caution and fear of being called a nerd or worst. If 5E is to unite people then they need to reach out to the world with a frenzy and not something that is mek.

I'm going to +1 the entire OP because he is absolutely right (and because this thread needs to keep getting pushed back to the top of the page).

This needed to be said, so thanks for saying it. Very well-written post. Let's hope someone listens.
