I've made a Revenent (past life Tiefling) solely fire attacks Warlock with the Infernal Pact and have given him 6 backgrounds for max backgroundness and would like some help with fluffing out these backgrounds
Narfell
Far north, well removed from the major byways that cross the more hospitable lands of Faerûn, lies frozen Narfell. The region is a desolate  wasteland of ice and snow, buffeted by raging storms. Nomadic tribes prowl the countryside in search of resources and supplies, taken from the herds they follow or the people they meet.
Flamescarred
You had a good life in Tarmalune until the worst of all fears came to pass—a gout of fiery death delivered from the Raging Flame descended on your home, destroying it and loved ones who couldn't escape the inferno in time. You somehow made it to safety, but the Raging Flame took
everything from you. Now, your passion to destroy the Raging Flame burns hotter than its destructive power.
Tiefling - Dark Secret
At some point in your past, you did something truly evil. You escaped punishment, but if you were ever to be identified as the perpetrator of that deed, you could still be put to death for it. Are you adventuring to forget the horror of your deed and stay away from those who still hunt you, or to try to atone for the wrong you committed? Whatever your crime, it was a clear demonstration of the evil of which you are
capable because of the infernal taint in your soul. Will you transcend that evil, or will it ultimately claim you?
Devil's Pawn
Many of your ilk have a silver tongue when it comes to deception, and you might be one of them. It's also possible that during your admittedly short time in the cult, you picked up quite a bit of knowledge about faith in devil gods —even if at the time you thought it was all nonsense.
Dark Contract (Infernal)
All deals are final, and whether entered into knowingly or tricked by fiendish bureaucracy, your immortal soul is held in custody by your infernal patron. What drove you to seal such a pact? Do you offer your patron the souls of others hoping it will release yours? Do you fear the torment that
will follow in your death, or do you recklessly live for the present?
Fire in Your Veins
You have traced your ancestry to House Zolfura, not that you needed dusty tomes or wrinkled sages to tell you who you are. Elemental power flows through you like blood. You see the primordial forces in things in ways that others consider madness. A flash of lightning in the distance always sends a delirious thrill through your body, and when you look upon flames, your ears seem to detect the distant call of elemental beings. Does your ancestry cause you to be interested in arcane or elemental magic, or do you abhor it because of the strange things you percieve? Are the things you see and hear when elemental forces are used around you true visions, or mere hallucinations? Do you seek the power wielded by your ancestors?

the Bio i've written so far is basically a summary of those but with the more evil ones ommitted so that my party doesn't know about my checkered past (it's on the obsidian portal so they can see it easily) - he's now unaligned by 4th ed alignments and would probably by chaotic neutral or something like that on the 9 alignment scale - here's the bio i've written so far:
Bane Sever is a Revenant who used to be a Tiefling who has spent most of his life in Narfell in the frozen north where he learned to withstand the cold and with that ability learnt to endure much else. He also spent some time in Tarmalune where the Raging Flame torched his home and killed many of the people he cared about. From this experience he witnessed the power of fire, and, seeing it’s awesome power vowed to learn to use this power to his benefit and after pact with a supernatural being learnt how to use the power of flame to his advantage.

one thing my DM has said is that revenants in his campaign can only live for 5 yrs without needing major necromantic rituals done by powerful necromancers in order for them to stay alive - also that they were brought back by the raven queen so he's 15yrs old (since he came back as a revenant as revenants can't remember their previous life)
What I want is a dark secret like from the background above that can possibly be used as a plot hook - as the party is an unaligned/good party this needs to be nothing too bad that if found out he would be killed by the party but something that he would be ashamed of and is trying to atone for the crime he comitted and he is trying to transcend the evil.
the secret could be something to do with the cult he was in (see Devil's Pawn above) and maybe something to do with the dark contract that he made for his powers with a devil/demon (i.e. his warlock powers)
Thanks in advance for any ideas/help you give

Seems like an arsonist.  Possibly burnt down a house, killing someone (his own family, family of another party memember, ect)
guides Show
my builds Show

F-111 Interdictor Long (200+ squares) distance ally teleporter.  With some warlord stuff.  Broken in a plot way, not a power way.
Thought Switch   Higher level build that grants upto 14 attacks on turn 1.  If your allies play along, it's broken.
Elven Critters Crit op with crit generation.  5 of these will end anything.  Broken.
King Fisher Does an excellent job at keeping an enemy disabled in a few ways.  Strong.
Boominator Fun catch-22 booming blade build with either strong or completely broken damage depending on your reading.
Very Distracting Warlock Lot's of dazing and major penalties to hit.  Overpowered.
Pocket Protector Pixie Stealth Knight. Maximizing the defender's aura by being in an ally's/enemy's square.
Yakuza NinjIntimiAdin: Perma-stealth Striker that offers a little protection for ally's, and can intimidate bloodied enemies. Very Strong.
Chargeburgler with cheese Ranged attacks at the end of a charge along with perma-stealth. Solid, could be overpowered if tweaked.
Void Defender Defends giving a penalty to hit anyone but him, then removing himself from play. Can get somewhat broken in epic.
Scry and Die Attacking from around corners, while staying hidden. Moderate to broken, depending on the situation.
Skimisher Fly in, attack, and fly away. Also prevents enemies from coming close. Moderate to Broken depending on the enemy, but shouldn't make the game un-fun, as the rest of your team is at risk, and you have enough weaknesses.
Indestructible Simply won't die, even if you sleep though combat.
Sir Robin (Bravely Charge Away) He automatically slows and pushes an enemy (5 squares), while charging away. Hard to rate it's power level, since it's terrain dependent.
Death's Gatekeeper A fun twist on a healic, making your party "unkillable". Overpowered to Broken, but shouldn't actually make the game un-fun, just TPK proof.
Death's Gatekeeper mk2, (Stealth Edition) Make your party "unkillable", and you hidden, while doing solid damage. Stronger then the above, but also easier for a DM to shut down. Broken, until your DM get's enough of it.
Domination and Death Dominate everything then kill them quickly. Only works @ 30, but is broken multiple ways.
Battlemind Mc Prone-Daze Protecting your allies by keeping enemies away. Quite powerful.
The Retaliator Getting hit deals more damage to the enemy then you receive yourself, and you can take plenty of hits. Heavy item dependency, Broken.
Dead Kobold Transit Teleports 98 squares a turn, and can bring someone along for the ride. Not fully built, so i can't judge the power
Psilent Guardian Protect your allies, while being invisible. Overpowered, possibly broken
Unnamed Avenger|Runepriest/Hammer of Vengance Do lot's of damage while boosting your teams. Strong to slightly overpowered.
Charedent BarrageA charging ardent. Fine in a normal team, overpowered if there are 2 together, and easily broken in teams of 5.
Super Knight A tough, sticky, high damage knight. Strong.
Super Duper Knight Basically the same as super knight, only far more broken.
Mora, the unkillable avenger Solid damage, while being neigh indestuctable. Overpowered, but not broken.
Swordburst Maximus At-Will Close Burst 3 that slide and prones.  Protects allies with off actions. Strong, possibly over powered with the right party.

You were once a Tiefling king who was yet again set upon by the 'good' and 'noble' to squalsh your 'evil' ways. Fed up, you made a deal with the very devils you had been prosecuted upon for 'divine' protection. Sadly the devils words were twisted and your entire kingdom became a hell on earth, every square inch was enveloped in flames and all within. Every subject in your kingdom was your responsibility so their souls were subject to posession by the devils. You have since been brought back by the raven queen to undo the injustice as the thousands of souls are trapped, unable to trancend to the great beyond. As a twist of irony you have reposessed your old body, using the contracts bound within the flesh to reclaim the wayward souls from the scheeming devil. He had since fled to the north to hide himself for a time until he can start to reclaim his people once fact becomes fiction and fiction becomes fable so even the devil wont see him coming.
