Switch to Forum Live View clarification on alpha mutations

particularly for the "Static buff" variety, like, say, tentacles. you draw it, ready it, then use it. you get the benefit for the entire encounter assuming it doesn't become unreadied? I'm kinda guessing this is the case since "use each card's power once during the encounter" doesn't make a lot of sense for some of these with passive benefits.

The benefit of an Alpha Mutation is always in effect as long as the mutation is readied. When a mutation is readied, it is played in front of you, whether it is tapped or not. When you overcharge a mutation or use an Encounter/Daily power the mutation grants you, then it is tapped.

Even though a mutation is tapped due to using it's power or overcharging it, the passive benefits are always in effect unless the overcharge or power dictate otherwise.
