Hi, I was wondering if this power I'm working on sounds like something you would have fun with. It's meant for an original leader class (that leans towards controller). Thanks in advance! Here's what I'm thinking at the moment. I have another version of this coupled with an area burst attack instead. Which sounds more interesting to you?

Standard Action

Close burst 10
|
Target: You and each creature in the burst
|
Effect: Roll one d20 for each target. If the d20 roll is greater than 10 that target gains a positive charge, otherwise the target gains a negative charge (save ends).
Each time the target starts its turn, the target takes lightning damage equal to 2d6 + your Intelligence modifier per oppositely charged creature within 3 squares of the target.
In addition, each time the target starts its turn, the target gains a power bonus to damage rolls equal to your Intelligence modifier per creature with the same charge as the target within 3 squares of the target. The power bonus lasts until the end of the target’s turn.

PS - I'm not all that worried with the numbers. I'm just curious if this is something you might pick up & use for your character.

Sounds like a hilarious power for a Chaos Sorceror, but it's extremely hard to put to actual use, considering that it basically screws over any and all plans your side might have. Might be better off targeting enemies only if you want to put it on a leader, so you can still stand near your allies.
Also when you want to have a thread moved, you can ask for that by using the Report feature, so you don't get a duplicate

Cool. Thanks for the tip. I've flagged the other thread as a repeat. They should handle it now, right?
About the power: Actually, the way I originally wrote it targeted only enemies. The way it's presented here, though, I feel the power would encourage strategizing. The obvious strat that comes to mind is setting up two "nodes", a positive and a negative node for everyone to assemble on. But, you could get more complex than that, setting up ranged nodes, melee nodes, things like that.
I could just use this as a boss power, lol.

As a boss power it would great I think, but I fear that as a player power it's just not enough bang for your buck... you're basically throwing out the biggest power in the game only to have it do basically nothing but scramble the battlefield in a way that may or may not be advantageous for you.
I mean if you roll bad you're doing more damage to your team then that you're helping it, and that's not what a high level Daily should be about.

I agree with other posters, looks like it might be fun in an encounter, but for a PC it's too much effort to take advantage of. You could obviously add things such as lightning resistance across the whole team, and it would start to look good with all that extra damage going to the monster team.
Still, too chaotic even for a Sorcerer PC in my opinion.

Possible idea
Polarizing Blast -Daily Close Blast 20 -no action Target: all charged creatures in burst Effect: allows the at will powers of possitive Burst and negitive burst. At the start of each creatures turn it gains the following effects based on it's charge Poitive charge: a creature that is positivly charged gains +1 damage for all positivly charged creatures within 5 spaces of it, this bonus last untill end of the creatures turn. Negitivly charged: a creature that is Negetivly charged takes your Intelligence modifier in damage for each positivly charged creature within 5 spaces of it
Possitive burst- at will Close burst 5 standard action targets: all creatures in burst Effect: All targets are possitivly charged
Negitive burst -At will Close burst 5 standard action Target: all creatures in burst Effect: all targets are negitivly charged
An' ye harm none, do what ye will
