That is indeed awesome. My wife had cancer (many moons ago, all better now, minus a couple ribs), and my father was recently diagnosed with an aggressive prostate cancer. Given that it's generally slow-moving, and prostate cancer is one of the ones they think it might work for in that article, it's pretty important to me personally. Like, cools-ville.

I heard of this, they used a modified HIV to genetically engineer the some of the patents own immune system cells to create a hybrid "chimeric" cells that not only attacks the cancer better and is capable of self replication so the number in the patents body increases over time.

Making any headway with this terrible affliction is great news, leukemia has taken more than it's fair share.
