Min dybeste sympati til mit nordiske broderfolk. Jeg håber i vil fortsætte jeres demokratiske virke og ikke lade dette få jer ned. Knus herfra.

For some reason, it's the attack on the youths that seems the worst to me. I mean, bombing a government building is reprehensible enough as it is, but specifically targeting kids as young as 14, by posing as a police officer to gain their trust and make them come closer, is too cold and calculating for words. That 15 year old telling how she thought she was safe when she saw a police officer, until he started gunning people down, is just heartbreaking

Yeah, I like how the Huffington Post article I just read about it made a point of describing him as a "blond-haired, blue-eyed Norwegian".  So what?  If he's a neo-Nazi, which nothing I've seen so far points to (other than being "right-leaning"), that might matter.  If he's not, who cares?  I've met plenty of racists in my time, and very few of them looked like "Aryans".

Seriously, no one could tell that that was a joke?!  I figured it was outlandish enough to not be believable.

For years, I've lived a double life. In the day, I do my job - I ride the bus, roll up my sleeves with the hoi-polloi. But at night, I live a life of exhilaration, of missed heartbeats and adrenalin. And, if the truth be known a life of dubious virtue. I won't deny it - I've been engaged in violence, even indulged in it. I've maimed and killed adversaries, and not merely in self-defence. I've exhibited disregard for life, limb and property, and savoured every moment. You may not think it, to look of me but I have commanded armies, and conquered worlds. And though in achieving these things I've set morality aside, I have no regrets. For though I've led a double life, at least I can say - I've lived.

What an utterly deplorable act.

I read the story this morning on msn.

Why is it those that hump their religious text just don't get it? Oh right they do.

Was the guy religious?

Religious extremism is the same the world over, no matter the religion.  If this guy was one, he has more in common with the Muslim extremists that he deplores than he will ever admit.

I mean, really all they've done in the last 600-700 years is innovate the use of stirrups in battle, give out Nobel Prizes for a bunch of stuf (and nothing), and keep their gold away from the Nazis in WW2.  So why the did some d-bag do THIS?!

Pretty sure it was the Mongols who first used stirrups.

Those darn Mongols get all the credit!
I've been told it was Harald the Fairhaired of Norway.  Probably wrong, though.

11 o clock special news about it

bombing: 7 dead

Apparently, the shooter was an anti-muslim christian fundamentalist who played violent video games.
dressed as a cop, called the kids to come closer and open fire.

Nah.  Give each of the parents a dull knife and slip him some muscle relaxer.  Fully conscious, but unable to fight back.
