~ Atnitine ~
Movement had caught some of the observer's eyes down below and across the seas. Small creatures seemed to move about, almost in an unusual way. They had quickly realized the creatures were vandalizing anything they crossed pathes with. At the same time, similar movements were spotted on the same land mass-- just in a different location.
"A storm of mortals."
"Something must be done."
"No! We should not meddle in the affairs of others unless commanded by the stormlord himself!"
"Perhaps we should speak to him then-- offer him a prayer in exchange for guidance on what to do. I, for one, am not going to watch those things torment the balance of the surface world while we just sit around and watch. They might even come for us."
"But they don't know WE exist!"
"Not for long..." The lead archon turned around to see a skeletal figure before them. "We have a visitor amongst the clouds. How may we be of service to you?"

~ Tower of Hril ~
A storm of mortals? How can that be? Is there another who challenges my domain, challenging MY name!? "Blasphemy!" He slammed his rod into the stone balcony and the clouds above lit up with sparks arcing across the gray sea. These arcs made it across the ocean and to the other continent, where a small party of archons raced down to the surface world-- using the lightning currents as their bridge to cross the lengthy gap. "I will not allow this treachery to unfold WITHOUT my knowledge! This 'defiler' of the storms shall know whom he or she is dealing with!"

ooc Show
Even though he doesn't know who the defiler is, the prayers from the observers have given him an insight on what is happening, which also gives him an idea besides meddling with the goblins...

Also, his fury can sometimes overtake him-- like in this case. He overexaggerates.

~ Between the Great Rift and Constantine ~
A small party of archons, clad in silver armor and imbued with the power of the storms, had made their trip to the surface world without hesitation. Guided by the stormlord himself, they were given a task-- observe the movement of the 'storm' close-up. They were also given permission to defend themselves lest they run into any sort of conflict that threatens their well-being. "It shall be done, Lord of the Storms." The lead briefly overlooked his party and nodded. "Let's go."

~ Tower of Hril ~
This defiler thinks they can steal my thunder. Well, no matter. The sword is still in my possession. The wall had disintegrated into a passageway into the hidden room where the sword was kept. Once again, he held it in his hand and imbued it with power. New commandments were written into the blade, alngside with the others that had been first set into the blade. "Whomever tries to steal my domain will have to answer to me first!"

PP Actions Show
2pp (Nourish and Command) -- The storm archons slowly rise in numbers and are given the knowledge to act on their own will, provided that they offer prayers to the storm lord for guidance on their actions.
1pp (from sword) -- A small party of archons are given the task to spy on the goblin raid or storm.
2pp -- Modify (Sword of the Stormlord) -- The sword is given a new set of commandments alongside the old that explains if any outside force poses a threat against the stormlord himself, his domain, or to his people that they are considered a threat to him and to his people. It will also provide a 1pp Command bonus if this requirement is fulfilled to defend the stormlord and his people. More info in the Wiki.

The Reaper's child, Sorrow, feld from the strange place where, to his knowledge, his mother had met her end. A small spark of affection, more biological than emotional, made him think about looking behind, but he ignored it and crossed empty plains, grasslands, mist-covered vallies, ancient forests, and even a giant river so large as to seem an ocean. Tired, he pulled himself up on a lonely island he had found a cave opening before him. With the sun dimming overhead and night creeping up on him, he hurried inside to hide from whatever ill things might lurk the land.

Inside his divine blood tingled. He could feel that this was no natural place. For one, it was far too large inside for the mountain outside to contain it. For another, the souls of the dead mingled about, waiting their turn to be judged by a giant pair of scales. Two thrones sat in the room, empty, and behind it an entry way to what, Sorrow assumed, was another plane. Perhaps the way home? No, that would be of no use. But perhaps to a better place than this?

Concious of the dangers behind him, Sorrow entered the other realm and explored it, looking for a suitable home. In the process he came upon two children, one blindingly bright, the other maddeningly dark. If his senses had been heightened, he might have realized that this was an enchanted place: only his lack of any pleasant memories kept him safe from becoming enthralled.

Sorrow watched the child Vion and Vasa for a moment from the shadows. Every now and then one of them would seem to suddenly look around like they were in a prison, but the moment was brief. The godling pondered the situation. His first inclination was to leave the two creatures be, but he knew that having others in his debt could be useful. At last he moved, pulling the two gods out of this realm and back to the hall where he had come from.

~Sha'a~

Vion shook his head. The enchantments of Iban still held parts of his mind, making it difficult to think, but he was able to realize that the strange creature standing next to the Scales had saved him and Vasa. He tried to offer it some thanks, but his powers seemed as sluggish as his brain and he wasn't sure what he had done before passing out.

The Dwarves, ancient creatures, had lived and thrived in the dark created by the woods. They knew the plants there, they knew how to heal, how to harm, and how to make. Sap taken from this plant, mixed with the oils of that plant, placed between impossibly thin layers of wood from the other plant. Wood their tools were, but stronger than iron and sharper than steel. This more than made up for the lack of minerals in the area.

The year of darkness

The year of darkness would be remembered with dread by the mortals though merely a passing second to the gods who measured moments in generations the mortal races remembered them much differently.

It started shortly after all of the other bad omens, which of course only further embedded the event into the mortals history,

The golden moon which was always so regular with it’s movements diverged from it’s orbit blocking out the sun as it’s shadow grew impossibly thick and large even the faintest rays of the sun where drowned out. The moon which had never before acted thusly and was indeed much smaller then the sun seemed to absorb the light and cast a dark shadow across the land.

For a year this shadow remained unmoving unfaltering, the plants of the land seamed to both flourish and wither at the same time, released from the unyielding heat yet starved of the nourishing light, The air grew cold devoid of the unyielding heat a winter set upon the land, The mortals of the realm had always known the sun, always defended against the relentless heat yet few were ready for the blistering cold that the shadows had caused.

The goblins and creatures of darkness however would thrive in such a time, and thus it was, the goblins moved across the land thriving and growing. The sign was clear there lord was showing his power to them and they would not disappoint, to each of the evil races the cleric lords of the goblins went.

They fell knee before the Gith, the beholders and to all the other evil races of the world, they offered gold, sacrifices, they offered themselves as servants with but two very simple requests, The evil races give a simply acknowledgment to there dark lord and most importantly the main and most basic demand in trade for there lives and service was that the evil races helped them bring destruction to the world.

For this they would give there lives, there wealth, everything they had. So long as the cause of destruction was furthered. Goblins cared little for wealth, for there own lives even; there single purpose was to spread destruction and warship there dark lord for them that was all that there was.

****

Though many events within the year of darkness may have garnered the gods attention, the goblins marching with a purpose to the Zobaga or there attempts to join forces with the evil of the world, Goblin alliance with the Chromatic dragon born of the Elghinn Empire and there hand in corrupting the already war torn race of dragons. Even the moons unusual movement and the temporary darkening of the lands.

But non of these events would cause the gods attention more then the sudden appearance of a new god, Though Garith was in truth far from new his power had grow such that he was a true god now, Having managed to tap into the great library power without it’s owners notice and having drawn growing power from the destruction and war of the land Garith's presence was no longer a secret, as he ascended to true divinity it was his power that caused the moons sudden movement and his power that blotted the sun even for the passing moment before things would mostly return to normal.

Garith had become that which he always claimed to be, a full god bound to the powers of destruction and darkness and barrowing secretly from Swifts powers as the god of knowledge lost himself to his searching. ******

Just inside the cave

Garith stepped inside the cave where he had met his …ally… yes that was a proper word for there interactions. Gariths senses quickly attuned themselves to the darkness, he knew not where the one known as Balist was now and the darkness did not betray the other gods presence but non the less he entered the cave.

“”Balist are you here? I have done as you asked, The goblin now descend upon the world and my power grows from the destruction they bring, even now they bring the dragon born upon the dwarves of this forest and they move to quail the light of the Zobaga. I have other news to inform you of if you would show yourself”

Garith had gained much power but still had not learned fully how to wield it non the less he was sure wherever Balist was he would hear him so he stood there

************

Meanwhile a group of kobold left the nation returning to reside in the city of the Dro nation a few even moved so far as to approach the Kender and request to reside within there grand city. They had ben away from the mainland to long and the bulk of the kobold would retreat further from the mortals of the world these kobolds however sought a different path.

***********

Swift had lost himself to the unending books in his search for the lost bit of knowledge, he had not sensed when the chromatics learned of the dragon guardian he had creature nor was he aware when Garith tapped into his power, he did not even relies it when Garims power began to corrupt the chromatics indeed swift was so lost into his research and search for knowledge that the world outside the library faded away for him completely leaving his exarches to watch over his creations and continue his work in his absence, that was part of there purpose wasn’t it…. Swift did not conceder any of the reproductions his obsession to know what he had forgotten was so complete that nothing short of direct communication would pull him away from his books.

pp Show

3PP - Garith becomes a full god his old form becoming his avatar and gaining a new divine form mirroring his original form. Garith's Active domain is destruction and passive is darkness,

- Garith Gains control of the great library and the multithreaded dragon exarch swift made. Though if swift becomes aware of this he can easily reclaim them

1PP command from glimmer: The nation of Dra’Kar withdraw from the main lands completely and a small group of kobolds move to the Dro nation and approach the Kender for refuge the rest stop all trade and communication with the mainland. The Settlement on the shimmering island joins the Dro nation

0PP Cantrip: for one year and one year only the sun is 100% blocked out after which things resume as if it had never happened. However mortal races will mark the year as a dark year filled with evil that brought on the blistering cold while evil races of darkness might mark the year as a blessing from there dark gods

1PP command -Goblins move against the Zobaga though it will be a few generations till they arrive

1PP nourish - Goblins grow in number during the year of darkness

1PP command - Goblins attempt to ally with the evil races of the world instructed by there dark lord and there clerics on how to find them

1PP Nourish from library - The chromatic dragon born of Elghinn empire learn how to summon the dragon exarch to harm there foes

1PP forge From library- The great library slowly grows (part 1 of 3)

OOC: Show

OOC: Swift is lost in his search and Garim will be used as my main god for a while, he is tapped into swifts power and will draw from it to fuel his own needs and desires, he is able to use this power and his shape change to convinceingly pretend to be swift if the need arises. Nothing short of a god searching swift out and aproaching him within the great library will bring swift from his research untill of cource he finds what he is after.

Joram: Tag Garim is just inside the cave tring to communicate with Balist

Thought -Tag I beleave the Dwarves are yours in two resets the Chromatic dragon born and goblin hoared will arive to the dwarven settlement at Althas forest with a huge army, they should be prepared for the hoared but I beleive the dragon born force is far superiore though.  Not sure what direction you would prefer to go

Toph: the goblins move to the zombaga however I beleive they are much weaker since it is only small groups however as the years pass the groups will get larger and larger

OOC: goblins
Life span: Goblins live for a mere 20-40 years before death by old age, there life is so short becouse they were created without a soul this makes there body very unstable,

Maturity: they reach adualthood in a mere 5 years

Birth rate: a single female can have one to two hundread children from age 6 to age 15 after which she grows infertile and joins the ranks of warriors, however most goblins die in battle by age 16 making there lives super short.

Values: Goblins have little value for anything, There purpose is to breed, consume, destroy, and warship there dark god. Almost any goblin will willingly sacrafice itself for the furtherment of destruction and entire tribes will dedicate themselves to any race that furthers the cause of destruction gifting said race with everything they loot besides food and weapons and sacraficeing themselves to further the races ends however if the race ever stops furthuring the cause of destruyction in some way goblins will quickly turn on them untill they resume the cause.

Goblins are very simplistic in mind and body and the strongest and closest witht here dark lord leads the race with all others following orders without question.

OOC: Tag whoever owns the kender (I think thats you joran) a group of Kobolds is seaking to reside within there city as perminet residents.

while awaiting a response from the goddess in front of him, he hears Garim call for him in the cave. Twitching his little finger, he sends a telepathic message to him, "Come to the court of gods Garim. Soon all will know of my name again, and a display of power might be in order as well. I think it is best for you to be here."

~The Gith Army some where in the grasslands south of Constantine~

The commanders decided to utilize these small creatures. After seeing how the reavers reacted poorly to eating a few (by "accident" of course!) They then decided to send the goblin masses northbound to other places, ultimately knowing that the more developed races would probably crush them quickly despite their numbers.

I'm not sure if you got it from my last yet lengthy post, but Tag Ara!

SG: come to the court of gods! We are just about to get started!
.... and I think its you that owns the kobolds (or at least swiftfoot does.) The kender let any peaceful race live there, as long as they can tolerate the kender and live by the land, so not much rp there. If nothing else, the kender will need their help once the two hordes get there!

And the goblins get sent north towards the human lands like lemmings to the slaughter!

Garith hearing the response of Balist dissipates into the shadows reforming from Balist own shadow, though he did not know where he was he sensed a lot of divine energy stored within this place. Non the less Garith formed his shadowy essence into a mostly humanoid form, indeed it very much resembled a broad shouldered human made of a thick impossibly dark shadow essence.

Garith looks to Balist “ I have come” Garith bows slightly then turns his attention to the throne and the figure that sits upon it. “who is this that garners your attention so?”

Yea the goblins are basicaly only there to absorb the blows ment for more skilled races they very much are cannon fodder and don't even pretend to be more only the cleric lords are any form of a threat able to weild dark magic and rais fallen goblins back as zombies and skeletons. The cleric lords always stay in the far back behind all others and use the rest of the hoared for a sheild retreating when the numbers get to thin so they might come back with a new army and continue what they started.

and yea I ment to say Kender, anhows just wanted to make sure it was safe to assume them welcome into the kender lands. They will bring with them there teachings of war and psionics and other such things represented in a ocational nurish starting next reset

many of the kobold took refuge within the Kender village bringing with them a small group of crystal dragons who found the company of Kenders to rather delightful. The kobald also set about teaching the kender psionics as well as a wealth of basic warfare and combat knowledge’s and some economical teachings. It would take many generations before the Kender would learn all of what the Kobolds had to teach but that only ensured that the kobold would contribute for many many years to come.

Meanwhile the library continued to grow, within it was found the very secrets of life allowing those who draw upon it to spawn new creatures, This also allowed enhanced it’s powers to harm, yet swift remained so enthralled in his search that he did not feel the library grow, so immersed was he in his studies that he did not feel anything in fact.

During swifts absence Glimmer did much, she often took on the form of his avatar to maintain his presence within the world of mortals and to further the preyers. She did not know why swift had vanished only that he would return and she should do what was needed.

From years of warring the goblins had grows strong, amonst there ranks two new breeds where born, Both of the new breed were much larger and often times the mother would not survive espectialy so for the first of the new breeds.

The first grew even larger yet over the 5 years of it’s maturity, becoming very broad shoulders and able bodied quickly these brutish goblinoids refer to as bugbears became the leaders of the tribes. They flourished in martial combat capable of tearing lesser goblins to pieces with there bear hands. They adorned themselves with spikes and skulls to increase there natural fear that they instilled in there lessor cousins. Unlike the common goblin they were less inclined to suicide however rarely turned down a chance to close in and rip there foes to pieces. Mages and preists of this breed were rare and focused on close combat spells and abilities.

The second of the new breeds grew slower taking 7 years to fully mature, They did not rush to the front lines nor did they use there size to control the goblins, the bugbear already had them in that department and to challenge the bugbears rule through pure might would not end well. However the breed who later became know as hobgoblins were much smarter, they watched the tribes with kean eyes and in time threw manipulation and mastering the martial arms took there role as the leaders of the tribe assigning the bugbear as generals and sub commanders. They convinced there more brutal kin that the roles of leadership would denie them the glory and bloodshed they so desired this combined with there mastery of weapons made them undisputed leader amonst the goblins but the shamans spoke of a even larger breed to be born someday and the hobgoblins knew there time as undisputed leaders was temporary non the less they were confident that even a new leader would not be immune to there sway and as such they would always lead in some fashion.

But it was not within the ranks of goblins that the new breeds truly where noticed it was on the field of battle as the hoared became organized and began showing tactics in there fights they slowly began to become more then simple fodder, where once you could count on thousands of goblins to charge from the front and fall to the archers and such now they flanked, laid traps and drew there opponents in and even began learning the basics of seige weapons and archery that had ben used against them for so many years

However to avoid conflict the hobgoblins still followed the lead of there evil allies simply because it was said that it was the dark lords will and to appose him meant a terrible fate for any who would dare

The goblins continued there march growing stronger in the days to come, First bugbear then hobgoblins had come from there ranks but none that came were like the ogre, born of a pairing of abnormally large bugbear the first ogre at first seamed weak, it was not mature when it was supposed to be and was not bright even amongst the slower of the bugbear. These traits made it weak and worthless to the goblin numbers and as such it was abandoned in the early years however the young oger knew to follow the hoard it fed from there scraps and lead a brutally hard life.

When next the ogre Braknar was Sean things were very much different. Though still slow in mind it had grown much larger then even the largest of the bugbear and in the harshness that was it’s life it had grown impossibly strong by bugbear standards.

Though many bugbear would try to stand against the towering giant in the end they all fell to it’s mighty club, the goblins of that group would serve the beast as mere peasants would a noble at times becoming food themselves, the males of the bugbear and hobgoblins of that tribe were killed to the last and the females forced to serve the beast. From that one ogre a new clan was spawned, in time other ogers were born. Each one in turn threw off it’s goblin blood and became something new for it seamed the ogers blood was a very dominant when it came to mating.

Thus the bone gnaw tribe of ogers where born, The ogers continued to warship Garith however they broke away from all other goblin kind seeking shelter in a cave nearby and forming a small nomadic tribal city. Female ogres served the males and the males hunted and commanded the lesser races they could gather to do finer tasks for them such as make cloths and such. Bugbear however were killed on site food for the tribes chieftain; a old hatred that few ogres even remembers it had just always ben such and the slow witted creatures never bothered to question it

3PP spawn ogre - Ogres are born from bugbear however are not goblinoid and becouse of the first ogres life all ogres have a inherent hatred of bugbears.

OOC: will mark the basic area the ogers tribe roams however being a nomadic tribe they could be located in any mountain range that is lightly to none populated or traveling betwean mountains. there thick skin makes them immune to the harsh effects of the sun and the coloring allows them to blend well in mountains and plains even deserts. ogres vew other races as labor and food sources havng no value for curency. If they don't have a use for it then it has no value though some ogers place value on odd things like skulls or skins sometimes even simple rocks they take a liking to. for this smaller weaker races ocationaly serve willingly as they get to keap all the gold and gems and junk that the ogers don't find a use for.

The dragon born of the Elghinn empire had traveled far to reach the Dwarven city, the march had ben slowed do to the massive war machines they had brought with them and there vast numbers. Though the dwarves had warning of there approach it seams none had reacted to such movement against them.

On this morning the mist had ben thick enhanced by psionic magic of the dragon born, the dwarves could hardly see when the trumpets went off and the goblin hoard charged upon the city with barrels of oil hundreds and hundreds of goblins would spread the oil around the walls of the city before retreating, the dwarves picked off many of the goblins during the movement and cheered when the goblins appeared to be retreating.

It was not until the fiery breath of the chromatic dragons fell down upon the walls and the oil that the dwarves truly knew how much trouble they were in, next came the acid of the black pouring down on the gates of the city. Then the poisonous gasses of the green filled the streets of the city, the white dragons did not come they laid in wait prepared to ambush any who tried to retreat from the city.

Next came the siege engines raining massive boulders down upon the damaged walls, they used hobgoblin scouts to help hone in on the walls and gates of the city, in mere moments after this the already weakened gates began to crumble, and again the goblins surged forth each one equipped with oil that burned hoter when doused with water and alchemist fire to light it. The goblins poured forth from every direction spilling from the forest and charging across the open terain.  The magical fog protecting them for most of there charge.

Even this though would not be the undoing of the dwarves, soon after the siege engines stopped there barrage the drums began, carrying there beat across the city and the tides of dragon born came forth, some with wings descended with there dragon ally landing all over the city while the others marched in with there mighty swords and claws cleaving all that stood before them, It was not hard to see that the Dwarven city would not be able to withstand such a attack.

3PP- Harm Dwarven city- The Dwarven city that resides just outside of  Althas city is under siege I am positive the attackers have a lot more combat rating then the city and will end up destroying the city but undoubtedly some of the race will manage to escape. Will finish the siege in a couple days giving time for any response (not that I expect any since  everyone has ben very silent)
