Welcome Stargazer! We'd love to have you join us. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here or join the mibbit chat ( 02.chat.mibbit.com/ ) channel #LoC. Often someone is there and will be able to answer your questions. But the basics are: you play a god with the intent of creating a gaming world. You spend Power Points (PP) to perfom actions in game that create or develop things. What sort of things? Generally anything that helps develop a world. The actions listed under the Basic Rules section of the wikia ( loc-central.wikia.com/wiki/Help:Basic_Ru...) give a fairly brief rundown of those, while the Actions page ( loc-central.wikia.com/wiki/Help:Actions) gives a more exaustive/exhausting run down of what they are, examples, etc. There is a lot on the wikia (especially if you look in the archives), but you can get your feet wet with just a minimal time investment reading rules and the sort. Time_Lord, you would see a Time Lord, wouldn't you? :P Though in by defense, I got the female picture first and then went about looking for the appropriately dressed up male pic, which eventually just devolved into the good Doctor.

I think I have a decent grasp for the idea now after I read the entire wikki and basicaly allt he links that were posted hwoever Is till did not find a list of the domains curently used hwoever I will post my god here in a few anyhows.

Origins Though his true origins were lost to him, he has shattered memories of a place far away. Though seemingly little more then a faded dream he knew; without knowing how that these were real memories. He could recall creatures and beings that did not exist. Had memories he knew could not be his own. Though this did not bother him he wondered. Where had he truly come from. He could sense his purpose; knew what must be done. Yet nothing indicated where he truly came from or how he remembered things that simply were not. Perhaps there was something before the endless void, perhaps that never ending nothingness was not all he had known. These things mattered little now; yet often he dwells on what it all means while he rests. In the end he was here now, delivered from the nothingness by the awakening of time and the ripples that event sent threw the nothingness that both was and was not. He is here now and he would be sure that these memories, these times here in the land between the voids. These would not be lost to him, these he would not allow to slip away. |

Personality To know swift is to know his dreams, for it is these dreams that drives his strongest will. The lost shattered memories of times that never happened and places that never were. It is the everything’s that are nothing and the nothings that are everything. He Remembers bits of a time and place far removed from the one he now finds himself born unto. It is these shattered memories that drive him to document the world for never again shell his knowledge and thoughts be lost to him in the nothings of tomorrow or the everything’s of yesterday. Long after time stops and the darkness once again envelopes the world his records will remain. Even obsessed as he is with gathering the knowledge’s of the world he remains carefree and lighthearted though prone to serious moments he prefers to do his best to enjoy life. He is not against light pranks or tricking someone into sharing a secret but he never lies or betrays his word without purpose and he knows little of the concepts of good and evil. To him things are not good nor are they evil. Though often time they may do good or evil they in and of themselves simply are. He finds solemn natured people as sad creatures and actively tries to teach them that there is no point to life if you are not able to enjoy the blessings that you were given. In truth though his personality shifts wildly in large a effect from his hours documenting the infinites that are everything’s existence. The knowing of everything life without truly knowing any of it effects his personality in unknowable ways. Though he dwells on this little. The past and the future matter little as long as it all gets documents and kept safe then life was simply intended to happen. |

creation, time, travel, secrecy, Ok so this part was a bit harder for me, but here is a basic reasoning for the few choices as well a basis for things not listed. again this was kind of hard but secrets rely heavily on having the knowledge of things that others do not and keeping that knowledge safe this seamed to fit well with my char as one of his prim goals is the protection of all knowledge and he feels that some knowledge should be documented but never shared. with travel again it fits well with his personality as without travel you can not hope to learn the knowledge’s of existence there are other more subtle reasons he find a affinity with travel perhaps even picking it up as a passive domain later. With time and creation they are the very core of his being for it is there domain that is documented, the happenings of time from beginning to end and all of creations and the happenings of those creations without these things there is no knowledge to document. it is for the end of these things that he struggles to document all so nothing will be lost to the dark void again.
I also listed a small list of domains that I think will be helpful or hindering to him in his pursuit of his primary active domain.
Past this though regardless of how his new form is created his divine essence has traveled the darkness’s of the void where things both our and our not for a long time now, he has memories and imagoes of a time and place but does not and will not ever be able to grasp at more then this. I went with this into his story because originally this was a god from my personal realm so it is of that place the scattered dreamlike images are though forever outside of his grasp, it gave me a driving purpose to the god and added a lot of flavor.
So as to the him part of swift foot he is a quirky little character more often then not light hearted he enjoys tricking people but only so far as they learn something from it for to him the entire point of trickery is to teach people a lesson whether that be humility through pranks and the like or some much more important lesson if his trickery does not help someone learn something then it is without point and therefore not worthy of his time.
He also takes life very lightly, because of his shattered memories he knows of a time before time and knows there will be a time after time though he knows nothing of the why or how he find comfort in knowing that even as time is finite existence in and of itself goes on to start anew. The one fear he always has though is that the knowing of one prior to the next will once again be lost to him. Anyhow because of his lack of fear for life and death he lives a very carefree life knowing little of good and evil he simply lives life as it comes not to say he does not do his fare share of planning but few ever even relies that side of him exists outwardly few would ever think of the little creature as a threat now do most gods pay him much never mind unless they are in need of some bit of knowledge that he may have but even then the cost to obtain that information if often more then they are willing to give for no knowledge is given freely only traded for secrets still yet unknown to him and secrets few gods willing will hand over.
As for other domains or gods he might ascend with they could very greatly best simply catch me on chat or message me if there is a specific idea or toss it out there and I will run with whatever material I am given and will c where the dice land J

perhaps it just takes some getting used to but the wikki is kinda a pain to navigate and use let alone edite /add to but I am sure I will figure it out.

I had thought about that, but decided that decay does not adequately express the motive behind aging things. It is aging out of a desire to consume and fuel, instead of returning things to composite parts.
Sorry if this has already been addressed, but as you describe it, that doesn't sound like Time at all. Aging our of a desire to consume and fuel sounds very decay-y or fire-y, while returning things to composite parts sounds like destruction or chaos. Maybe even "ruin" would fit. But Time itself doesn't seem to fit what you are going for. After all, Time doesn't cause things to be consumed or to be broken down into their composite parts: those are separate processes that happen to occur over a period of time, but so does everything else. Or is there something that I am missing?

Yeah, you're missing that I'm not going for breaking things into their composite parts.
Time is the active, the method.
Fire is the passive, the flavor.
He's time as fire. Throw young things into the fire and they'll get older and older, doing whatever the object does as it gets older. An immortal elf would just sit there all day, while a human would wrinkle, die, and turn to dust. A rock might crumble if there was a wind for long enough, while a diamond would do nothing. It's decay when it's possible, otherwise it's just age.
The consumption bit is from the god's desire to have more time. His backstory dealy is he's been living the same loop of creation for an unimaginable amount of time. From his entrance to creation, to creation's end where he loops back to his beginning. Been doing it so long, can't remember where he came from, what he was, or how events play out exactly. He's looking for a way out of the loop, and wants more time to make that happen. The madness from the endless aeons he's spent looping has lead him to believe that aging the universe, consuming its time, will give him more time to find a way out in a loop, when it is actually this act of consumption that hastens or causes the end to come and the end-point of a loop to arrive.
