This is a build that uses some of the new stuff, blending it with old cleric powers for a really good mix - Incredible buffer with really good +hit bonus during all the character's life - Good enabling (for a cleric) - Usual Cleric healing and the best saving throw enabling in the game (not surprising) - Striker-ish Battle Eater

Now, I;ve not seen the article, but we're talkign about a replacement for Healer's Lore? Divine Healer gives you Healer's Lore... Would that be replaceable by Battle Cleric Lore or whatever it's called? Spending a feat for that sounds nice to many builds...

I think it's important to note that a class feature which is available to base members of a class isn't automatically available to hybrids unless it specifically is a new option for an existing class feature. Check out "Trading Class Features" on page 137 of PHB3. You can't trade a hybrid form of a class feature for a non-hybrid class feature unless the hybrid class feature explicitly allows the trade. That means you could pick up one of the new Channel Divinity powers with Channel Divinity (Hybrid), but no getting Battle Cleric's Lore.

Hybrid Clerics get Healer's Lore, not a hybrid version thereof. I'm not sure how that rule would be applicable then.

CMIIW, but that section specifically mention 'hybrid form' of a class feature. For example, the hybrid form of channel divinity which is Channel Divinity (Hybrid). Hybrid clerics get Healer's Lore, and not Healer's Lore (Hybrid), so I think it would not fall under the restriction, right?

Is it just me, or are both the at wills lacking the usual scale-up at level 21? Or does nobody care because Righteous Brand still exists so these don't matter, anyway?

Does anyone in the know about clerics want to weigh in on how Battle Clerics stack up against Warpriests with these additions?

I think that they are fairly different.
The battle cleric is, as it has always been, an offensive buffer. It deals quite a lot of damage and, after these new powers, can be easily considered one of the best buffers. It can heal decently, it is quite durable and can access to good save enabling powers. Furthermore, it's very easy to build a str/wis cleric build like i did above. You can take essential melee wisdom powers and implement wisdom powers which don't have a charisma kicker, and they are quite a lot.
The warpriest builds are effective niche builds. They are build to be one-trick ponies, kind of the slayer or the thief, with the substantial difference that dailies can give them a bit of versatility. The sun warpriest is a great healer and the best save enabler in the game. The storm warpriest is a really good movement enabler and a decent damage buffer. The death warpriest has some huge debuffing power and the earth warpriest is a decent defense buffer. These builds lack depth, but they can make they duty really well.
All in all i think that the OCleric (templar) got a lot by this new support, especially from the changes to Divine Fortune (which was ridiculous) and Healer's Lore. +2 untyped bonus to hit on demand and the ability to have scale freely is REALLY a good benefit, as the encounter reroll. To boot, some of these new powers are incredible. I think that the future of the cleric now is a Str/Wis melee build, with some or no implement powers.

As for scythe clerics, scythes were used as weapons, but not as pictured in DnD. The one pictured in PHB is a farming tool, good only for cutting down wheat, not orcs.
I have never seen a super nova go off, but if it is anything like a Chevy Nova it sure will light up the sky!
