What's all this simple weapon bull? The replacement to Healer's Lore is cool, but the restriction on the powers really sucks.

Buffs simple weapons at least up to military level. Saves wasting a proficiency on them.

Overall not bad I believe they fell short on 2 points:
1. Remember that the Battle Cleric has at will and daily powers which need support as well.
2. Why shoehorn them into using simple weapons would it of been better to offer Battle Cleric Armaments in trade for ritual casting?
Edit: There are two at wills, they are coloured as encounters.

Yeah - I'm wondering about Hybrid Clerics. Since the Hybrid Cleric get Healer's Lore, can they now choose Battle Cleric's Lore instead? +2 Shield bonus and Scale looks pretty good on a Cleric|TWF Ranger. Or on a Str/Wis Avenger|Cleric.

Wow. I'm not a huge fan of the divine power source, but at first glance, this looks pretty sweet.

Yeah, Battle Cleric's Lore is crazy good for all Clerics. I'd likely go for just the +2 to hit over +Wis hp healed - and that's not counting the bump to base 19 AC without a shield.
And Hybrid Clerics get Healer's Lore...

Why would you ever spend a feat for proficiency in a martial weapon as a cleric? The same feat would get you proficiency with a superior weapon. And while you may get a bit more damage with these encounter powers with your simple weapon, it still sucks when you're using it for at-wills and dailies.
