The Essentials not-a-half-ed edition war has left blood in the water, so the 4e haters from the last edition war (which had hardly even reached a cease fire) are back, anxious to kick 4e while it's down, and maybe dance on its premature grave a bit.
For the love of Tiamat, it has been almost a year since Essentials was released, there is no more blood in the water, you just have to let it go!
Maybe if you eat at another Diner for a while it may help?
Every time I ask for one I get a temp ban... but feel free to PM me if you have any ideas...

It's been 3 since 4e was released. What's your point?

It means as time passes, saying "Essentials Sucks" means less and less every time you say it.

So the longer we're without the computer tools we were promised 4 years ago, the less it means?

So no point then. OK. Saying Essentials can't be have anything to do with a resurgence of 4e-hate in the past year, because it's been out a year is pretty silly. But, if it's just a dig, well, OK, I'm used to the apologists and their cheap shots.

Yes.
Also, complaints about the ad campaigns are pretty meaningless now. Either they made you mad and you left, or you're still here.

Essentials made some 4E fans angry, and PF/3E trolls reappeared to tap into the new anger and new reason to attack 4E and blow the whole thing out of proportion. Part of that is new hate, but from what I've seen on this forum its not the majority. That's your resurgence of 4E-hate right there, not new hate but the old hate being opportunistic.
Its been out half a year, and we've already heard it all. Essentials sucks is no longer new. Either you quit or its something you can deal with. Still complaining six months later is more bitterness than anything.

Alright all - I'm fairly certain the original question has been answered at this point, and letting this thread linger only gives another place for people to tell others that the edition/parts of D&D they like are wrong/bad fun so I'm closing down the thread.
