I'm planning to start a game of D&D, and I was thinking of starting it off with an encounter style. I've haven't been able to go to any encounter games and would like some tips on running one. I was thinking of running the adventure Rescue at Rivenroad.
Any advice would be helpful.

Most of the D&D Encounters sessions are one encounter. If you go to the blog on my profile there are a lot of tips at how to play episodic style games with only a couple encounters.
