i like weaponmaster becasue it has all things its picks from but if i had to pick which one to make...i would make a knight or slayer then weaponmaster
i think what i am getting tired of in 4th edition in the groups i play in is that we just say the name of the power and say what it does...i think that is why i like knight and slayer....all i have to say is "i attack" and everyone knows that i am swing a sword an i missed that feeling with my fighters (al i played in 3rd and 3.5 was fighters, found wizards weak....well they were in our games anyway)

Wizards were the most powerful class in 3.5 :P Behind CoDzilla. How is stating your power any different than stating "I attack", anyway?
It's the riders and virtually thousands of choices available to the phb1 fighter that I like. I don't like being railroaded in character creation, which is why I avoid e-martial classes and the Vampire like the plague.

i love knight and slayer...to me when reading them i see them in battle and how they would act...or how i would get them to act...with weaponmaster i really cant think of how they going to be...i dont know why but that is how it is for me and with any class i am going to play i am going to railroad myself becasue i am going to pick with what is going to be what he would pick...knight and slayer does teh same but wha they are going to be is just more fixed in....like the weaponmaster i was making....i was lvling him up and anything that had to do witha shield....that was the power i was picking...

Bad fluff Does not make the 4.5 sub-classes better than the base classes. All it does is up the limited page count.

Weaponmaster knows it has a lot of versatility. It can be a lot of things. It is primarily an amazing defender. It definitely knows exactly what it wants to be, depending on build.
