Pretty sure Shardminds have a feat that allows them to transport someone with them when they shardswarm.  Digging around though and haven't found it yet.

A Shardmind Shaman can take Linked Spirit to exchange places with his spirit companion when he uses shard swarm.  I didn't find anything else in the online compendium.

Ah, I figured it out.  It was a Shardmind Psion with Dimensional Stowaway (Psion Utility 2).  The utility lets you take an adjacent ally when you teleport, and shardswarm lets you teleport.

So that's your answer: Multiclass Psion, pickup Acolyte Power at level 8, and swap out your level 2 Utility for Dimensional Stowaway.  Then once per encounter you can take an ally with you when you teleport.

This came up in a recent game I was GMing.

The cleric used Hallowed Advance which allows him to teleport an ally w/in 5 squares to a square adjacent to him and make an MBA.

Effect: One ally within 5 squares of you can teleport adjacent to the target and make a melee basic attack against it as a free action. In addition, that ally can spend a healing surge.

Here is the problem. The ally was inside a Stinking Cloud. As you know, the cloud blocks line-of-sight. I followed the logic and rule-set for self teleportation and stated that you cannot see your ally, so therefore you cannnot teleport him.

The group argued against me, especially the player with the power.

How would this work?

The rules say:
"The user of the teleportation power must have line of sight to the destination space."

Assuming the destination space was outside of the cloud, then your players are correct.
