It's kind of funny... I've been playing a Vampire in LFR for a while now.  He's a Dragonborn Brawler Fighter with the Vampire Heritage feat.  He likes to get someone grabbed and then get them far away from the combat in order to bite them and then pummel them to death or unconsciousness... he's lawful good, after all.

My Vampire Handbook:

Vampires: Do not choose this class.

This class has received a red rating.  This class is a trap.  The O-ssassin deals more damage than this class, and the O-ssassin is one of the worst strikers the edition has to offer.

It's possible to argue it's very survivable, with it's regeneration, healing surge recovery, and healing-surge conservation abilities, but it's very hard to judge that.  What's easy to judge is the damage, which is pathetic.  Want some neat controller daily abilities?  Play a rogue or a warlock, who have neat controller daily abilities that actually do damage.

^We get it. You hate vampires. Sheesh, this is like the 12th post I've seen from you today on the vampires and their low damage output...

Agreed.  I hate to say it, but at this point you're almost trolling Damon.  All your shouting about how much the class sucks isn't going to change anyone's minds on the subject.

Hey, just because I moved out of the denail phase and on to anger doesn't mean the rest of you who are slower in the grieving process to hate on me.  The faster you get on with the process the faster you move towards acceptance.

Let me grieve.
