by Chris Perkins

This regular column is for Dungeon Masters who like to build worlds and campaigns as much as I do.

Talk about this Column here.

SOunds like a fun and enjoyable experience, and one which I think a lot of us could learnf rom as players and as DMs.
Harrying your Prey, the Easy Way: A Hunter's Handbook - the first of what will hopefully be many CharOp efforts on my part.
The Blinker - teleport everywhere. An Eladrin Knight/Eldritch Knight.

CB != rules source.

Very enjoyable column, the best one of all so far.

A nice touch, the poll at the end of the article.

Keep it up.

Great article, and gives me high hopes for this series! I've been missing the Dungeoncraft articles, and this looks likely to be a good replacement.

Kudos to Chris Perkins on a very enjoyable read.  As the DM of a long-running homebrew campaign, I'm always on the lookout for new ideas to throw at my players. This artical gave me some great ideas to build on.  Much appreciated. Looking forward to more articles in this vein.

Excellent article. Was contemplating doing the same with some Kobolds that my group pissed off a while back... now I'm doing it for sure.

Absolutely the best article put out of the promised newer ones. I look forward to getting insights from Chris Perkins on how to create a memorable encounter, etc... And the feedback poll, great idea.

Thanks for the feedback! My plan is to include a new poll at the end of each article, not only to help focus the column on the things that interest you most but also to get your opinions on topics related to DMing and campaign building.

Mr. Perkins,

Something I would truly be interested in, and obviously the poll didn't have room to choose this (at least I didn't see it), is how much work do you put into a campaing world at the outset. Taking your Iomandra campaign for example, I wonder how much work you initially put into world design, backround, guilds and groups, etc... before launching it, and how much was added as time moved forward.

It is really a well-executed world, and I want to create the same engaging type of campaing world for my players. Thanks!
