I always enjoy the game while I'm playing it, but to be excited about the product (as opposed to the play) there has to be something coming up that I'm looking forward to.
It's not hard, I look forward to just about anything that adds to the game. I looked forward to essentials, I look forward to Heroes of Shadow.
But all these cancellations have seriously got me feeling like the doomsayers are right. I no longer feel like the developers have any idea what the community wants out of the game.
I hope to be proven wrong.

So far, the only thing appealing is Conquest of Nerath, but that's because I like big war games.

Yes, for a company which has a large percentage of it's customers being of either the explorer or power gamer mentality, not having new product to look forward to reading or be able to ramp up characters with makes 2011 a bit of a damp squib.

I loved 3 Dragon Ante and I thought Inn-Fighting was a fairly decent light game, but Ravenloft was so bad I'm not looking foward future games except to use for the tiles and miniatures.

Three Dragon Ante is a blast. I bought it recently and playing in-game last session. The halfling NPC that played with them made off with the most gold. :3
I got really excited when they mentioned Arcane Power 2... but my hopes have been squandered!

I think you guys are being a bit too optimistic about today's info session.
WotC is like a sphinx...they never actually say anything if they can avoid it, and if they do it's in the form of a riddle.
Their management must infuriate restaurant servers all over the convention circuit:
Waitress: "So what'll it be?"
Mike Mearls: "I can't say anything JUST yet...but I can give you a hint. Bernaise..."
Bill Slavicsek: "We're still finalizing details...but I can assure you that big things are coming. Big things...keep your eyes pealed for anouncements"
Trevor Kidd: "Okay...so I'm thinking of a dish...rhymes with "brazelnut dusted famine with lime-yemen stutter".
Waitress: "Ummm...we're trying to close".

I want to hear where WotC is going with Organized Play, since they abandoned LFR. ("Abandoned"= dropping DM Rewards outside of Encounters, ending Private Play tracking, ending Public Play tracking other than Game Day/Encounters, Adventures/Events are no longer FR "canon.")
Is this new competitive Delve format coming out in September going to replace Encounters, or run alongside it? From what very little we know, it seems that Encounters is geared toward bringing in new/lapsed players, while this new format is WotC's answer to LFR/RPGA.

-Alveric
"And the sword that had visited Earth from so far away smote like the falling of thunderbolts; and green sparks rose from the armour, and crimson as sword met sword; and thick elvish blood moved slowly, from wide slits, down the cuirass; and Lirazel gazed in awe and wonder and love; and the combatants edged away fighting into the forest; and branches fell on them hacked off by their fight; and the runes in Alveric's far-travelled sword exulted, and roared at the elf-knight; until in the dark of the wood, amongst branches severed from disenchanted trees, with a blow like that of a thunderbolt riving an oak tree, Alveric slew him."

I want your crystal ball. Mine obviously sucks. The seminar in question just started this very minute, and you already know there is no Ravenloft news?

WotC is proud to announce that it's next product will be shape like a rectangle, thick and have a drawing on the cover.
Now, all of the people who heard about this announcement, please drink this free cool-aid we've are giving you.
Some dude once said: "If WotC would put crap in boxes with the DnD logo on them, some people would still call it the best product WotC has made."
