Pamora's four hands grasped Arvad, ripped him off her, raised him in the air, and brought his back down against her knee. She tossed him aside and  prepared herself. She reached deep down, into her essence itself, and down further still. Down and to the most basic element of her being, the mote of possibility that had come from the Gates. From there she drew power from the gates and reformed the flail she had willed into existence earlier, yet this time it was more real. She had drawn power from the gate, and so there was a chain for every godly essence in existence. Yet even as it came into being, many of them vanished, representing those who were set against her.

With the weapon in hand, Pamora felt ready for the Traveler's next attack.

3PP Artifact: Pamora creates the Flail of the Gods. A weapon artifact, suitable for the epic tier of play. The notable feature of the item is that it can have a chain with a related effect from any domain in existence, although the holder of the weapon does need to be allied in some way with the god representing that domain in order for this chain to appear and function. In the hands of a mortal, this will usually take the form of whatever god that mortal serves and any gods allied with that one.

But before Arvad could strike again, Tsiyoti moved, water reaching in two directions, both forward towards Pamora and backwards towards the body of The Silent One.   A small tear in the barrier had been opened, and using it, the God willed himself and Pamora away from this place.  With an explosion of water, the two dissapeared, the body of The Silent One vanishing as well.

~Velt's Cave~

Only to appear moments later in the dank cave that had been the home of the sleeping God for aeons.   Immediatly, Tsiyoti moved closer and saw the missing hand.

"Mutilation!"  He cursed, pushing himself backwards.   On a hunch, he twisted in place and vanished once more, a command filling the space he had been.

"Stay here, Pamora.

Moments later he returned in a splash of water.

"Od'Vidr's eye is missing, carved out of its socket.  Someone is targeting the Elementals.  Tell me, Pamora.  Do you have any others tied to you?  I must discover the meaning of this and punish whomever has decided to be so cavalier with my sleeping brethren."

As Arvad rose to his feet, his scarred hand snatched out, grasping a single strand and yanked with all his might. As if pulled along by some unseen hand, Arvad vanished, travelling along the blinding thread to erupt outwards into Velts cave with a violent shockwave throwing the others to the ground.

Unleashing a huge burst of power to shatter her binding artifact, he dove in at her again, struggling with all his might to throttle her even as he ignored the stinging hits from her flail.

It was a strange thing, but the world was healing. Faster, even, than was thought possible. Take Dajjal, the mighty mistress of Winds, the Queen-of-Dust, and strip her down. Take away everything, all the hubris, the fury, the terror and the lies. Remove the insecurities, the hatreds, the loves and all the damned godly ugliness. If you strip away her godliness, the complexity of her, the crudeness of her, and all the infinitely mortal-qualities invested in her by godliness, what are you left with?

Wind.

A simple wind was blowing, a mundane northerly wind, gusting down from the mountain to roll pleasantly southwards, catching in momentary flurries and updrafts. The wind tumbled like falling leaves, buzzed like flying insects, and raced along underfoot like some little thing off to do mischief. It was a nice wind, a calming wind. It was the sort of gentle breeze that provides respite from hours toiling in the field. But it was also a darker wind, that blew in clouds dark and heavy with rain. It was a dangerous wind, that caught up trees and set them dancing, that tossed the sands and set them in their dunes. The wind was all of these things and more. But in the end, it was just wind, caused by subtle changes in the atmosphere.

The wind was mundane, yes. But perfectly so. It was said that the prayers of the Stone Angels could shift the wind's course, but who could say for certain?

The only absolute was that the wind was just, and fair, and blew where it would. The wind harboured no grudges, nurtured no preference. It did not hate, steal or lie. It was the wind, pure and simple; remarkable and completely mundane. And it was perfect.

"We are gods!"

Isura endured the beating nonchalantly. Pamora's fists struck true, but like The Silent One's blade, so very long ago, they found little purchase within the flame of the Fire Wraith's form.

"You seem hung up on that word. You may bow to no one, you may invest yourself in the world, but to mandate the same is true of any other is merely a projection of your own egotisms."

Tsiyoti intervened, Arvad vanished, and Isura was left alone with The Light Fantastic

"Such venom in that one.

"Yes for yes."

"I suppose I should assist The Traveller, at least, in some small way." Isura snapped her fingers, and the long-dormant Phoenix Raiment warped through time and space. With any luck, it would find Arvad in a matter of moments.

If you look past the plot and the voice acting, Metroid: Other M was an okay game. Not a great game, but an adequate one.

Not using the Metroid item collect jingle though? That, was a mistake.

~Shadowfell~

Isura was so good at ignoring things, but simply ignoring did not change reality. She had been struck, and those strikes, delivered by a god, had found purchase. She could ignore this, but that did not change reality. Where she had been struck, puss began to ooze out, producing black smoke as her own flames tried to burn it. That puss fell among the spirits of the dead, and seeped out into the natural world, altering them and investing them with power.

3pp Alter-Artifact: The death domain leaves Isura and is invested, instead, in mortal spirits. To control death, one must first capture the spirit of something that is already dead and, in essence, burn it for power.

~Velt's Cave~

Pamora nodded and placed a hand into Tsiyoti's watery form, conveying psychically the location of the others she had bound.

Then Arvad slammed into her. When it became clear that her flail would not keep him from her, she grabbed him and pushed him into the ceiling. The cave shook but Pamora pushed further, plowing through the earth, using Arvad as a drill, burrowing towards the surface. In time they burst out near the gate. A flaming cloak appeared and tried to settle on Arvad. Not sure what it was, the fact that it was fire made it clear that is came from the stillborn child. She reached for the gate and it sucked the raiment into its destructive side, shredding it and eventually depositing it somewhere else in the world.

Arvad offered only an evil grin as Pamora made her mistake. For the briefest moment, she turned her attention away from him, away from his grasping hands, away from the strangling cords of movedment that always surrounded the travel god. As she cast away the approaching rainment, he ignored it's presence and captured her. All around, strands of wispy light grasped and restrained her he wrapped her in a bear hug.

Face to face, she saw madness looming in his eyes, but her struggles were for naught. "Lets send you back to the abonimable hellhole you crawled out of!" Without a second thought, Arvad dragged her into the gate.

For a long moment, the gate was still, and then all was gone, a flash of light and a rolling shockwave, obliterating the mountain and everything about it.

For a long few moments, he travel domain fell silent across the world. People couldn't gather the energy to move. Birds fell from the sky. The wind and waves slowed to a crawl, and transpotation devices simply stopped. But only for a moment. Then it all returned to normal, as if Arvad had never been. As if he had never even been necessary.

2 PP - Harm Populace - The dwarves naturall suffer from the destruction of their mountain. I'll leave the results on that up to Toph.
0 PP - Cantrip - Stop all mortal motion for a few moments.

Arvad is dead. Pamora's fate is entirely left up to Thought.

Technically, the Blink Orb would be caught in the explosion, but since I lack the PP to destroy it, and without it, travel magics don't function, I'll assume it took itself back to the center of the Shifting Maze.

Isura smiled as Death dripped away. Pamora had taken the bait after all. Chuckling to herself, she left the shadowfell, with The Light Fantastic drifting along in her wake.

~The Dwarves of the Godmountain~

Engineer Flint grumbled angrily to himself as he made his way along the power conduit -- a power conduit that had mysteriously gone dormant. An irritating mistake that he now had to fix.

The Dwarf stopped, suddenly, when he realized that the conduit beside him was thrumming with power. What, had the blasted thing gone and fixed itself? So he had come all the way out here for nothing? No... wait. The power just... stopped. Present on one side, absent on the other. No... it was more like... there was some sort of plug in the conduit? That didn't make sense. The Power Conduit was simply sapping energy from the Gate of Eternity -- there was nothing more physical in there, was there?

Now mildly perturbed, Flint removed his work hammer and prepared for the oldest trick in the book of Dwarven engineering: percussive maintainence.

Flint raised his hammer high and pounded the metal section of pipe as hard as he could. A burst of energy sent Flint staggering backwards, blind and numb. In a few minutes, he came to, the ringing in his head stopped, and he regained feeling in his arms (though his hammer was nowhere to be seen). But the conduit was alive and buzzing again.

Flint smirked. Percussive maintainence was the best kind of maintainence.

----------------

Far above the lone Engineer, Overseer Diorit stared blankly at the object he held in his hand. It was nearly as large as a shield, light as a feather, and unmistakably an eye. A left eye.

And then, the gate exploded.

- The Canvas -
The scourge dragons had been doing well while Dloz was running his errand. Most noticeably they had started building what appeared to be an empire. Though as Dloz watched them go about their day he realized they didn't speak. He knew it wasn't for lack of mental ability. In fact it appeared they had created a complex physical and written language. With a flick of his hand a burst of energy surged across the Canvas. Dloz had no idea whether the dragons would develop a spoken language, but now they had the ability. The God of Chaos was swept away like a sand dune in a storm.

- Akuru-Azu's Palace -
Dloz emerged into a large throne room. What was with gods and palaces? Were they so insecure of their authority that they needed to make overt shows of their power? He shrugged as he started walking towards the slumbering goddess's throne. Was Akuru-Azu a goddess or a god? Dloz had learned of this deity's past in one of the other worlds he had visited. Why was his mind wandering so much? This seemed to be becoming a regular issue. He focused his mind on the task at hand. As his foot hit the first stone step leading up to the throne Dloz forced Akuru-Azu back into her original form, C'thruul. The throne didn't seem to be designed for C'thruul. His many tentacles draped over the arms of the throne like noodles dangling off of a table. Dloz drew the Nightmare Paintbrush, in its dagger form, out of the right sleeve of his robe. With unimaginable brutality Dloz started ripping apart C'thruul. It surprised Dloz how little time it took to reach the stomach of the slumbering god. He stuck the Nightmare Paintbrush back into his robe sleeve. For some reason Dloz felt it was appropriate for this part to use his hands. Dloz ripped the stomach in half with his bare hands. His heart dropped as he saw the contents of the stomach. All that was left of Ebel was a sort of meat paste. He started shoving the paste into a hemp-thread bag that materialized in his left hand. With a grin on his face, Dloz walked away from the carcass of C'thruul with the bag over his left shoulder. He left a trail of blood in his wake.

~Ruins of Godmount~

A pool of dirty water flecked with divine blood seeped out from under a pile of rubble and unsteadily formed itself into a sphere.

"Pamora.  Are you alive?  What did Arvad do?"  The God asked unsteadily
