I just don't understand this. There is no way that this new CB is better unless you use a Mac. Please go back and support the old CB that worked fast and had few issues. Why fix something that wasn't broke?!?
I am really frustrated and I am glad I cancelled my subscription renewal.
PS: Why when building a "custom character" if the class picking so difficult. Why not just list the classes like the old CB? Hell or at least list the name of the 4 different archetypes rather than just describing what they do. So silly.

YES... Please go back to the working one... without all the features of the old, I can't do anything with this new one. A Dungeon master should be able to choose anything he/she wants... where is the switch for that?

1. Didn't fully import my sword mage, had to go in and select several items is didn't know how to deal with. 2. Several power cards do not have calculations on them, or notes for things that modify those cards. 3. Can't tell it to print math for various items or weapons. 4. Times out, causing a relogin while using it... wtf. 5. New sheets have waisted space galore and will suck ink like mad. 6. Slow as hell. Thats after 20 minutes... so... yea who the hell tested this crap?
We did/are, us the users, testing this for them.
Really this is a terrible start. How long do we have to wait before the server problems fixed?

I was able to quickly create a new character. Didn't seem to take too long, although the server did seem to hang briefly a couple of times. Certainly opens MUCH faster than the old CB took to load.
That said, until the new CB supports house ruled feats and outputs dnd4e files for use with iplay4e, this character builder is a step backwards for me.

I use a Mac. I love Macs. I was excited when I heard that I'd be able to make characters on my Mac laptop.
But then I got this. Be careful what you wish for, huh? I would gladly give up the ability to use the CB on my Mac if I could have the old PC version updated. This current version is so slow, buggy, and lacking in useful features that the old version had, that I just want the old one back. Hey, maybe WotC is employing the New Coke strategy...

I hate it at first sight.
I want to be able to limit the available choices to the books I have. Frankly I am not going to buy every book that WotC puts out, so this new online CB is choked with classes and powers and stuff that I have never heard of, don't want, and won't use in my game. The old CB let me filter out all the stuff I don't use. Fortunately I still have it installed.
Silverlight was a bad choice. At least Flash would work on Linux too.

I have found 2 errors so far. No javelins in the equipment list and when I import a character, the character's name gets dropped.
You have the free will to agree or disagree. You have the ability to act freely on the above choice regardless of the consequences. Keep on the Shadowfell PbP Group 1

I have to say that I've been using the new builder for about 30 minutes. I've spent 20 of that trying to build a lvl 5 artificer...the builder keeps stopping for no apparent reason.
I'm not really happy with this change to an online based tool. I liked what we had.
