I'd love to have the ability to print my powers in the encounter format.  Title line, checkbox and relivant text below.  I've built my own, but having one in the character builder would be awesome.

I don't know if it's in the Encounters format or not, but there is a thread showing the character sheet from the new CB (a sheet of power cards are included in that sample).

I took a look.  That's the Essentials format.  All of the DnD encounters pre-gen characters come on 5x8 cards with stats on front and powers on back.  A colored by type tiltle bar and relevant text below.  Kind of:
(red line)Power name here                        Standard, Encounter, Melee 1  [ ](end red line)
all the text & numbers here

You can fit a lot onto one page that way.  With my custom spreadsheet I fit all the powers of my shifter barbarian onto half a page.  Makes things easier for me.

The CBC had a non-subscriber demo version that limited one to levels 1-3.  With the new online model how about a different approach to non-subscribers for demo purposes.  Perhaps allowing access to all of heroic (1-10) or even all levels (1-30) but only allowing storage of 1 character at a time.  Thus a player who plays very rarely or just added to a new group could build an initial character before deciding to subscribe.

While I agree that there should be some way to entice people to subscribe to gain access to the full deal, I think that one character would not quite be sufficient for subscription, since you could (presumably) still save that file off.  If the non-subscriber version is read-only, then it serves the players who can't afford to pay monthly and the players in games where the DM makes the character sheets, and the players can just browse them.

I would also like to request power cards for Summoned Creatures and Companions, both Ranger and Druid.  They could look like the Companion section of the current Character Builder, but able to put them on power cards - this would be most important for summons.

What makes me sad - no more compiled magazines: http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/27580349/Dungeon_and_Dragon_Magazine_PDFs&post_num=24#495423645

Ohhhhh oh oh!!!! Where to begin...

First and foremost, allow the ability to save characters on our own hard drive (on the host computer instead of this cloud nine thing). Not sure why this wasn't a no brainer. This could be a file needing the CB to use, a self contained sheet that shows the stats without access to the online database, or a PDF file that can be printed at anytime.

This is a high priority item - it was orignally skipped because WotC decided they'd rather get a feature limited builder that would work with Essentials released, then to keep us waiting longer (for a fully-featured builder that would support Essentials).

I am requesting that they fix the bugs and graphical anomalies that have already shown up in the images we have seen so far. For all those requests above, I suggest aiming low will probably be more rewarding.

Feature: The option to choose between the 'old' power card presentation, or the new one.

While I appreciate the shift to an easier to read card format, I actually quite like how the old one looks, and would prefer to keep using it.

EDIT: Oh man, I know I'm going to get roasted for this one, but.... Facebook Integration.
Oh Content, where art thou?

Feature Request: Ability to permanently hide character options I don't like, preferably both for all characters and per character.   You can include a list somewhere of items users have premanently hidden so that they can go back and change it at a latter date.

For instance there are over 818 3009 feats in 4E so far, with dozens more coming out most months.  Many of these have become obsoleted or are pretty bad and I know for sure that I will never be interested in them.  Yet in the old version of character builder they regularly would appear in the giant list of feats.  Sometimes these could be hidden in dropdown menus, but feats like paragon defenses and robust defenses will still be there in the tiered listings, even though I know will always take improved defenses instead.  It would be nice to be able to click "hide" on robust defenses and never see it as an option again.

818? There are more than three thousand feats in 4th Edition. It is Feat Bloat City. I too hope that the new CB provides better filtering options.

I had no clue what the actual number is, just that if you type "feat" in the compendium you get 818.  I could not think of a broader search term, but I just tried leaving it the search field blank and that gives 3009 results, not counting the ones that have not made it in yet.  That also revealed 7290 powers and I know some classes that have been around for a while have 400+ powers.  Fighter has 419, not counting paragon path powers for instance.
