Group composition - Dwarf Fighter, lvl 1 (built to be a defender who’s lost his nerve so mostly acts like a striker)
- Elf Ranger, lvl 1 (High Dex, High Wis – takes powers that can be used both ranged/melee)
- Half-Elf Bard, lvl 1 (Balanced for everything, exceptional at nothing, high stat two16s)
- Eladrin Mage, lvl 1 (Full on Enchanter maximized for the role)
- Dwarf Knight, lvl 1 (High HP, 38, defensive specialist)
Got a good 90 minutes in tonight. Not as much exploring tonight, but a couple of good room searches, two good encounters, and a cliffhanger ending with a chase to save a life.

Couple of key notes to that second battle with the dragon. Two big criticals (one by the ranger and one by the fighter) really turned the battle around, perhaps making up for some bad rolls in other situations. The mage actually rolled two misses on Sleep, but the Slow effect really hampered the soldiers who didn't save, ever, against the effects. Couple that with Beguiling Strands and the two soldiers were pretty much kept out of any real impact until it was too late. There were also some immobilizations, dazes, and other slows involved, but despite all that, combat went very swiftly all night (as can be seen). The group will level after one more encounter so it will be nice to see how the final numbers for this level works out and how each coming level will impact the speed of combat.
