Here's my concern. There are a number of us (eg. CharOp posters) who enjoy building characters and the whole optimization process. If there are limits set filespace or character slots, this will severely impede this pasttime. And if they do set limits, but don't provide a simple and easy-to-use means to batch upload and batch download character files, you'll see fewer of the really talented people spending time presenting builds that inspire the rest of us.

Filespace shouldn't even be a cause for concern. Character files are less that 200KB. So even if they were to specify that you only get a gig worth of space that is 5000 characters worth of space. I would be REALLY surprised if the set a character limit as that will be so rediculously easy to circumvent once they add the export funtion it would be completely pointless.

My requests for the character builder
- Export capability. I'm glad this is getting priority.
- Folders or other method for sorting characters.
- [edit] Upload our own character pics. (Don't know if this is already available)
- Sharing between other DDI subscribers. Let me pick and choose who I share with.
- Customized campaigns. I don't know how much space they'd give us, but I can see home-brew options being very, very low priority.
- Magical rarity - to sort out the different magic item buying options
- Which options can be used. Book by book would be ok, but bieng able to drop specific pieces of those books would be nice.
- Custom items.
- Custom feats.
Online tools request: An interactive character viewer/player that is usable both online and offline. Usable with tablets and smartphones. iPlay4e and it's like are cool, but a full digital character sheet that I can use powers, edit HP, etc would be awesome.

Personally, I think that character sheet is infinitely superior to the old one. I agree that it doesn't need a designated ritual space, though. Perhaps an "other" space that can have Rituals, Martial Practices, Alchemical Formulas, Beast Companions, Mounts, etc depending on what the individual character needs would be better.

For the online CB, I am requesting that they release the source (both server and client) when they moves to another edition and cease support of online CB. This request is made because they already buried those early Dragon articles under three foot of soil.
This, or maintain CB classic in parallel.
Otherwise, I'm not renewing my unsubscribtion and would consider switching system.

What are the current options for printing?
It it just printing or can you make a PDF? If you can make a PDF, can you use it to keep track of stuff (edit the HP/surges/ect)?
There is most certainly a way to print - the software's entire purpose is to prepare a neat and orderly character sheet.
As for PDF, you will need non-WotC software just to have the option to "print to pdf," either by getting a PDF editior like Adobe Acrobat Pro (which isn't worth the investment if that is all you want it for) or a nifty little software, for free I might add, like CutePDF that allows you to "print to pdf," in the same way.
In order to edit the content of the PDF, you will have to have a software capable of editing the PDF, or go to a website I can't remember the name of at the moment that adds fillable forms to any document you load through it - then you can edit those forms to keep track of things on the sheet.
Easiest course of action: Use Notepad as "scratch paper" to keep track of the changing numbers during the session, and make notes as to how you need to update the sheet the next time you have online access to the CB, then re-print to PDF.
Not as convenient as it currently is. Hopefully they'll add more "use it at the table" options in the not to distant future. Even simple ones like "take damage", and "extended rest" would be benificial.
Otherwise i, personally, don't see any difference with the change (at least till it run on linux or android).

F-111 Interdictor Long (200+ squares) distance ally teleporter. With some warlord stuff. Broken in a plot way, not a power way. Thought Switch Higher level build that grants upto 14 attacks on turn 1. If your allies play along, it's broken. Elven Critters Crit op with crit generation. 5 of these will end anything. Broken. King Fisher Does an excellent job at keeping an enemy disabled in a few ways. Strong. Boominator Fun catch-22 booming blade build with either strong or completely broken damage depending on your reading. Very Distracting Warlock Lot's of dazing and major penalties to hit. Overpowered. Pocket Protector Pixie Stealth Knight. Maximizing the defender's aura by being in an ally's/enemy's square. Yakuza NinjIntimiAdin: Perma-stealth Striker that offers a little protection for ally's, and can intimidate bloodied enemies. Very Strong. Chargeburgler with cheese Ranged attacks at the end of a charge along with perma-stealth. Solid, could be overpowered if tweaked. Void Defender Defends giving a penalty to hit anyone but him, then removing himself from play. Can get somewhat broken in epic. Scry and Die Attacking from around corners, while staying hidden. Moderate to broken, depending on the situation. Skimisher Fly in, attack, and fly away. Also prevents enemies from coming close. Moderate to Broken depending on the enemy, but shouldn't make the game un-fun, as the rest of your team is at risk, and you have enough weaknesses. Indestructible Simply won't die, even if you sleep though combat. Sir Robin (Bravely Charge Away) He automatically slows and pushes an enemy (5 squares), while charging away. Hard to rate it's power level, since it's terrain dependent. Death's Gatekeeper A fun twist on a healic, making your party "unkillable". Overpowered to Broken, but shouldn't actually make the game un-fun, just TPK proof. Death's Gatekeeper mk2, (Stealth Edition) Make your party "unkillable", and you hidden, while doing solid damage. Stronger then the above, but also easier for a DM to shut down. Broken, until your DM get's enough of it. Domination and Death Dominate everything then kill them quickly. Only works @ 30, but is broken multiple ways. Battlemind Mc Prone-Daze Protecting your allies by keeping enemies away. Quite powerful. The Retaliator Getting hit deals more damage to the enemy then you receive yourself, and you can take plenty of hits. Heavy item dependency, Broken. Dead Kobold Transit Teleports 98 squares a turn, and can bring someone along for the ride. Not fully built, so i can't judge the power Psilent Guardian Protect your allies, while being invisible. Overpowered, possibly broken Unnamed Avenger|Runepriest/Hammer of Vengance Do lot's of damage while boosting your teams. Strong to slightly overpowered. Charedent BarrageA charging ardent. Fine in a normal team, overpowered if there are 2 together, and easily broken in teams of 5. Super Knight A tough, sticky, high damage knight. Strong. Super Duper Knight Basically the same as super knight, only far more broken. Mora, the unkillable avenger Solid damage, while being neigh indestuctable. Overpowered, but not broken. Swordburst Maximus At-Will Close Burst 3 that slide and prones. Protects allies with off actions. Strong, possibly over powered with the right party.

I asked these questions in that monstrous thread already but haven't gotten answers there, so I'll repost them here since questions are actually getting answered! I won't include my question about Gamma World since it was already answered (and not in the way I had hoped 1) Will NPC Generation be at all possible with this iteration? I know that is more of a Monster Builder type of thing, but I have been hoping for this function in one of the programs for a while now (and still I wait). 2)I know themes will apparently be setting specific (unselectable even in the Homebrew window???), but what about Wild Talents? Will that also be Dark Sun specific? 3)Random Character Generation. I love this feature for Character Builder (Classic... ), and it took awhile to get it right. Will the new version offer this feature (or did you literally just destroy a campaign I had in the works where everyone plays randomly generated characters?) thanks for any answers...

This is light years beyond the other sheet from the builder.

Inspire is a really strong word... I don't know if this is entirely true, but I'm presuming that the reason file export aren't an option at this juncture is because they're storing PCs in an indexed database rather than in files, and so converting the database entries into the previous .dnd4e xml files hasn't happened yet.
Also, somebody else mentioned sorting, I don't think that folders will happen... Not that it would be terribly hard to do, but there are more efficient ways of dealing with sorting such as tags, and property searches.
