I have some vague concept of why, due to production costs vs quantity vs sales and all that, but it still surprises me a little each time I see it, how expensive some of the miniatures are from these smaller companies.
WotC has production orders in the millions for their lines (and they are produced in china, so cheap labor force and they're probably slowly poisoning us too), so there's little wonder why theirs are so inexpensive by comparison, but $35 for 3 miniatures... I mean, the detail on those badger-men is excellent. They are awesome looking miniatures, but still... I really would like to be one of the people who can afford to blow their cash on that kind of thing.

Funny you should say that... The Badgers are currently in the process of being retooled to reduce the amount of metal used. This should lower the cost for future runs.

First time posting in the Gamma Worlds thread. I don't have my box yet (should be coming in the mail tomorrow) but I've already started on some miniatures I plan on using. A kung fu panda figure with a mechwarrior leg to represent a melee weapon. Digimon figure with a lego lightsaber, warhammer 40k bolter and back pack. Gutsman figures with Rackman Wolfen head swap. Shoulder gun is a Mechwarrior clix arm (from the same model as the above leg) The blade on his other hand comes from the Rackman figure. Wolfen with a lightsaber and turtle shell armor. Frieza figure with Warhammer 40k bits added. Digimon figure Heroclix Thing with Warhammer bits Gutsman with mechwarrior chaingun.

Thanks, I went looking through my bits box miniatures to try to come up with some off the wall pairings.

For those interested, I just posted more paper standies here. They include the creatures from Famine in Far-Go. Kerry

Those are absolutely brilliant MiniatureGeek. I love the countless variations on the Wood Golem sculpt. Where is that sculpt from? I can't quite place it.
