I will agree with King_Snarll that the VTT was expected as part of D&D Insider, and I would really like that. Using OpenRPG works just fine for our purposes, but a dedicated D&D VTT? That would really be awesome. Also, King_Snarll's idea of paying once every so often is a good one (if CB is all you're interested in, and not the articles that come out each month). The visualizer would have been nice, but...not a huge deal. The lack of the VTT is really disappointing, but that was scrapped so long ago, it's not like I factored it in anytime recently.

For me, the VTT would have been the least used utility of DDi. My main reason for the yearly subscription is CB and Dragon/Dungeon. The Compendium is also nice. The Visualizer would also, for me, not be used either. I want a trap/hazard builder and an encounter builder. Those are my top two utilities to add to AT. Though I would also love to have the DMG2 companion rules implemented.
You have the free will to agree or disagree. You have the ability to act freely on the above choice regardless of the consequences. Keep on the Shadowfell PbP Group 1

The lack of announcements is worrisome. What are we paying you for, Wizards?
Also, there's no reason to not just, you know, update the CB with what works without changing the programming, ditto the Compendium.
Conveniently, my subscription runs out in late October... Guess whether I renew or not depends on if they're willing to give me the CB I'm paying for.
Don't let me down, Wizards, I love your game and these great tools, I don't want to see this stuff fall by the wayside!

Think about the various issues D&D 4E "online" has had; I think WotC's layoffs may've reached deep into the online team. It certainly feels as if they need talent, creativity, and maybe even simple headcount in the non-book area.

For what it's worth, here is the email I just sent to Wizards customer service. Others may wish to do the same. ***** My name is Sean XXXXX (RPGA #XXXXXXXXXX), and I have a question regarding the DDI program and its costs. With the two month (and counting) delay in content update, the question of compensation for current subscribers should be addressed. This is particularly important for those of us who play Encounters, as the two updates dealt specifically with the Encounters season that was going on at the time (Dark Sun/psionic, followed by Essentials). Are current DDI subscribers going to be receiving a refund for the past two months? Or will we be given some sort of vouchers for the Dark Sun and Essentials books that have become almost necessary to buy in order to play in the free Encounters program? The past "game table" incident was brushed aside with the promise that it wouldn't happen again, but sadly it appears that history is repeating itself. Please consider the impact this has on player/DM faith in Wizards and the D&D team. I, and my $9.95 per month, await your reply. Many thanks-- Sean XXXXX@XXXXX.com

Will they be adding GAMA world to the character builder? What will that do? (schedule - product)

Delay the next update by 3 months, that is what it will do.
To err is human. To fail a Fear save is unforgivable!

I believe it has been stated by wotc_microbless that there is no intention at this time to add Gamma World.

lol, yeah I have come to expect delays for content people say is comming. It's not like DDI is the only culprit. I think the groundwork has been laid in the past by companies like Blizzard and others in the computer industry to promise things they cannot deliver. They have learned that they can say they whatever they want to keep us on the hook and make excuses for why it doesnt happen and we will stay loyal little followers. I like what they have given so far...so i guess im a loyal little follower too. Its just a culture of hollow promises that has been created and perpetuated....so lets just wait like the good customers we are.....lol
