Well, at least we've got a release date. Now we wait six days to see whether it moves again. Wizards has, unfortunately, developed something of a credibility and value gap that they need to work on making up; this'll be a first step.
It is 10:35 am EDT on Oct 12 and we still have no update. Is this another missed deadline in a long string of missed deadlines?
It appears that DDI CB project managers do not know what a 'deadline' or published 'Release Date' means?
Also, I hate that I have to spend tens of minutes trying to find out the status of these vapor updates. DDI CB managers - Since you have so many problems with meeting release dates, at least create an official announcement page (searchable for wizards.com\dnd\) that you post update delays (BEFORE THEY ARE ALREADY LATE).
O.O whats this? D&DI Announcements a way to see the ANNOUNCEMENTS made by the WotC Staff?
P.S. +1 to jedrious

Not everyone lives/works/operates on EDT, those of us on the west coast do not demand that those of you on the east coast keep the lines open to all hours of the night to accomodate us, reciprocal respect should be a given.
Well, THAT sounded rather self-absorbed/self-centered.
Hey, look, even I can do that!
"While I understand that WotC and its crew live in Pacific time, y'all in that time region need to remember you're the minority, not the rest of the United States. Most of this nation live in CENTRAL Standard Time, some more in Eastern, and that Pacific has even fewer residents per square mile, except perhaps in the Los Angeles region of California."
See how easy that is?

Yeah, and no-where in the Oct 12th Announcement was anything mentioned about the CB or its updates.
-5 to Ailiam and jedrious.
Those who keep quoting the EULA at our complaints should live in shame for their reprehensible behavior, as should WotC. Nicolae Ceauşescu never committed acts as reprehensible as the last few weeks here.

So, you post at 7:35 PST, which is 1:25 before the doors of the DnDi staff's office open, claiming that they missed their deadline, but it's my pointing out the time differential that's self-centered, right.....
If I need to talk to someone in a firm located in Japan I do not call at noon PST, I call at 10 AM GMT+9, or 5 PM PST, I am nowhere near enough self-centered as to expect the world to accomodate my time zone, all I ask is that everyone else do the same, respect the time zone of the person you are demanding service from.
WotC Staff are not robots, and if they become sleep deprived, the product suffers, anyone that has ever written programming code for long projects knows that when you code while tired, your code makes less sense and to top it off your documentation suffers, so you spend more of your alert hours figuring out what it is you did, as oppossed to being productive.

Remember CB updates almost always come out after noon Pacific time, which makes sense for a West Coast company.

Fail? Incorrect, as first, Jedrius, I hadn't claimed they missed their deadline. You're attrributing claims to me that I never made. Second, Ailiam, there was no such thread/post at the time, I checked before replying: Also, note the time listed once it was input:

Your statement doesn't hold water, as Paolo didn't add that until AFTER I had posted. That's a triple-fail score on your part. -15 to Ailiam.

So, does anyone know when the real up date is scheduled? (the one that includes dark sun and essentials)

I'm just going with the safe bet here and assume "When it's done." Because that seems to be the time table they're working on right now. I'm just hoping this doesn't lead into a perpetual back up where we won't be back on schedule for regular updates until next year. In all seriousness though, if this new web tools feature isn't something fairly interesting or useful I'm probably going to cancel my DDI subscription and just wait until there's an update I want and resub for it. That way I'm not paying what I think is too much money for the features I have available.
Sure, they're nice features, but if I'm not interested in them, or don't plan to make use of them how are they particularly useful to me? (Best example I can provide is think of a monitor with a built in webcam and speakers. Not everyone wants that or really cares; yet that jacks up the price).
