Where are you getting the dates from?
Drizzt game is on Amazon now with the October Release date. (and remember Amazon is a much more accurate source of info then WOTC, it always features the cancellations and date moves long before WOTC announces them). The other two dates are from Mike Mearls at D&D Experience, he said that Heroes of Feywild was coming out in November and the Tiles in December. Since all WOTC game products come out on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, those are the dates for them. Critical Hits among other places has the info from D&D Experience.

From EnWorld we have the fall WOTC catalog, which features the dates above plus is claiming BOVD will be released on December 20th as well though I still have a feeling that if they really are going to do concurrent releases for the movie and the book, thats not going to happen. -Tig

I think GW was sort of a frankenstein monster to begin with... you know... questionably alive. I love it, don't get me wrong, but I don't think it was designed to be an on-going game. just a series of one shots.
My Blog, mostly about D&D. I imagine that Majestic Moose plays a more "A team" type game than most of us. By that I mean he allows his players to make tanks out of a backyard playground set since the players have more "fun" that way.
Actually I much prefer The Losers.Spoiler:

When I and my friends sit down we want a game of heroic fantasy. Rare is the moment when I have cried out in a video game or RPG "that's unrealistic." (Unless there is no jump button. Seriously makes me mad, single handedly ruined the N64 zelda series for me, but that's a digression of a digression.)
I mean, we play games with the force in galaxies far, far away, with supernatural horrors, dragons and demi-gods, alternate cosmologies, etc.
Reality and it's effects hold little sway to what makes a Heroic fantasy game fun IMO.
Just repeat after me:
You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You are not how much you've spent on WotC products. You are not whatever RPG you play. You are one of tens of thousands of people that spend money on a hobby. You will not always get what you want

Eh. You could say that about any RPG, really. In 1978, could anyone have guessed D&D would have spawned things like Runepriests and Wardens? It's amazing to see what constant churn will give us.
I could see PHB-like books for Bio origins, Dark origins, and Psi origins. A series of adventures each focusing on one level. A campaign book for the Gamma Terra world, showing every square mile of the world from Australia to Stockholm. A flavour book for each Omega Tech faction, with monsters to fight from them and friendly origins. Gamma World Combat Tiles.
Sadly, I don't see people buying all of that.

I would. But I hardly constitute a demographic.
Not anymore than Gary Coleman would have, R.I.P.
