Just going based on what I recall from previous changes, not on any insider info (although not for lack of trying...)
When they updated the math for solos and elites when they released MM2, they did not go back and change the compendium entries for the MM1 solos and elites, so I would be surprised if they did it for MM3.
That bites. I'd really like to see the change. Better yet, a button you could hit to quickly "update" an individual monster, at least to the guidelines Greg Bilsland outlined as the "quick and dirty" way to update old beasties. That shouldn't be hard to program since it would just be a if...then statement.
IF Monster_Type = "Brute" THEN Monster_AC = Monster_AC + 2
Something like that would satisfy me. Sure, I can do it manually, but I'd rather hit a button rather than having to go into every monster I want to update and navigate the screens to increase/decrease damage, armor class, etc.
Obviously, it wouldn't be perfect, but beggers can't be choosers.

I will send that suggestion up the line.

Or just 2 versions of each monster. One with the old stats and one with the new.

I would buy a revised Monster Manual using the new rules and ideas.
How I wish Monster Builder update them...

The solution to this problem is simple: cancel your subscription! You don't really need a monthly subscription anyway. Buy a 1 month subscription once every six months or so, download all the newish stuff and cancel for another six months.
Unless Wizards starts giving partial refunds for their partial updates (like that's ever gonna happen), this is the only way to get the content and not be pissed that you fell for the classic Wizards "bait and switch" once again!
Screw them, or be screwed by them, there is no try.

That's not really an option for a lot of people... With Essentials coming out there's going to be a lot of new stuff in the CB over the next few months. Since many of us don't buy the physical products anymore (or not always) and just use the DDI tools instead, there's really no sense to cancelling over the Monster Builder, which is only a beta product in the first place. The compendium and the CB are just too handy. In my mind the monster builder is extra.
I think I'll echo some of the others when I say the frustrating part is not that the Adventure Tools haven't been updated - it's the lack of communication and aparent disregard about it. Mudbunny does his best tho, and without him we might not get info at all. So thanks are certainly due for what he does.

Wasn't there supposed to be an update today for monster builder? 20th of july, which is today on the planet i inhabit. So has it been put off or is there just not going to be any more updating of this "beta"?

Updates to the programs (Character Builder, Monster Builder) and the online Compendium have always been done after WotC staff have arrived for work so that they can ensure that everything is going well. The update servers usually go down about 10 or 11am (PST) and come up 30-45 minutes later.
