Well, I enjoyed the responses I got to this on the Realms boards, though things there are pretty quiet these days. So I thought I'd repost the link here for everyone to check out. This is a short story I wrote to serve as a writing sample, which I submitted to the good folks at WotC not too far back. Sort of an exercise in what I'm capable of than any attempt to get a specific story published. It's titled
Darksong, and I'm already working on the follow-up set a few years later, so keep your eyes open if you like this one.
