It's been discussed at the Piazza but I don't know that anyone actually has the game and has tried it. From what I've read it seems well designed. I bought Lands of Mystery but haven't really had a chance to read it. I just want to get the stats of the Magnataur.

Link is kinda hard to give. White Wolf doesn't have a page for it anymore. The official forums are gone. There are some unofficial ones but I don't have the links handy. All the products are out of print but still available in pdf. Overwhelmed by answers! Damn these forums are full of people!
Most people don't even notice these forums since they are a subforum. Even when this forum was easier to notice, you probably didn't have a lot of WoW RPG players here.

I have it but never had a chance to play it. I think it's all right but the book really lacks in some parts. A lot of mistakes (erratas FTW), lacks in GMing section. Spell slots in Warcraft are not the best thing... A mana based system would be better, at least if you like to get as close to the Warcraft games as possible. Unless you think spell slots fit WC lore, the books do have some similarities to "Vancian magic" IIRC. Lands of Mystery is pretty interesting if you like Warcraft lore (can't say much about the other stuff in it, as i said i never got a chance to play it and it seems that the book assumes you have More Magic and Mayhem). Of course all the lore stuff can be checked from wowwiki.com which is probably best wikia there is, accurate and large.

I have it. It is basically 3rd edition with some unique things as well. The races are cool though...

You can blame the previous staff on these forums for that (the current staff are OK). A few years back they decided to dump all the out of print campaign setting forums into the one Other Worlds forum. There was a lot of objection from the people that did post here, but that was ignored and the dump-merge went ahead. As a response, one of the members here set up an independent forum for campaign settings (called The Piazza) and a lot of people (especially Mystara and Spelljammer fans) migrated over there. The forum staff here got the boot and the replacement staff have worked hard to reverse the damage. But quite a lot of long time posters here were so annoyed at the dump-merge (which was a practically impossible to process for the new staff to reverse) that they have refused to come back here.
Never heard of it.

I've got a thread full of links (including an archived copy of the now dead White Wolf page) over at The Piazza's World of Warcraft forum.
One thing that initially confused me about Warcraft RPG and World of Warcraft RPG is that the former is a Dungeons & Dragons setting, while the latter is not. I thought that Warcraft RPG was 3.0 and WoW:RPG was 3.5 (and unlicenced). But I've since been told that Warcraft RPG was 3.5 and WoW:RPG was a variant system (a bit like the way that Paizo started Pathfinder as 3.5 and then made their own modified 3.5 rules).
I've got a full list of products (of both games) in my List of Warcraft: RPG + WoW: RPG books thread. While WoW:RPG replaced Warcraft:RPG, there are some products that start in the original game and have a "sequel" book in the second game line. So some level of conversion or retro-conversion could help boost either gameline into something bigger.
Three places where you can chat to other fans include:
The Piazza has fans of many D&D settings, so if you fancy doing anything like a Warcraft/Planescape crossover, that would be a place to go. Xander212's forum is a standalone Warcraft RPG forum. They have a lot of subforums relating to different aspects of the setting. If you really want to get into the setting, you might find more detailed help there, but The Piazza could be good if you only want to scratch the surface. The Facebook page would be a good way for you to let other FB members know that you "like" Warcraft. It is certainly a good place to network for other D&D fans of minority settings. If you have time, I'd suggest you sign up to all three places. It can't hurt. And look out for the netbooks that the fan community have been working on. They are a great addition to the commercial books.
