OK I will start

My name is Melissa. I'm 34, single, and I have a 17 yr old daughter. I live in Northern California in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

I love to game - whether it's RPGs, video games such as Halo on xbox live, or board games. I'm very competitive and love to win but I also like colaborative gaming such as D&D. I'm currently a GM for the first time running a 4th ed D&D game. I'm very social and out-going. I'm very honest and if you ask me a question be prepared for the honest answer I will give.

So hello everyone!

I'm pretty new here, so here goes!

I'm Jeff, 23 years old, and I prefer to DM whenever possible. I'd go so far as to say that DMing is the "bees knees". At least I think that's what the cool kids say these days.

I live in Colorado, and have a pretty solid game group. Modern Warfare 2 uses up some of my time, too, but reading history is also a passion of mine.

I am Adam, Prince of Eternia and defender of the secrets of Castle Greyskull. This is Cringer... my "fearless" friend. Fabulous secret powers  were revealed to me the day I held aloft my magic sword and said... By  the power of Greyskull! I have the power!!

...at least some of it is true.

I don't resent 4E. I just see its players as... misguided by its oversimplicity.

I DO resent the original marketing for it, though.

Hello. I am Zack Buntin, and I am currently 18 years old.

I've started D&D last year with 3.5 edition, and then I started going into 4th edition in the middle of last year, so I have some inside info on the basic mechanics of 4e D&D (although I do not have my books with me at the moment...)

I am into the tabletop version of D&D, but I do like other board games, and I'm also creating an RPG that is sort of based from the mechanics of D&D, but it has a futuristic feel to it, and it has a completely different feel of mood-- basically the game is nostalgic in a way. The game is titled the Magi Chronicles RPG.
I like Play-by-Post games as well, and there is a PbP version of the Magi Chronicles RPG in my group forums.

Hrm.  I'll bite.

I'm a bloke who at the moment works at a library and goes to school at a university in the middle of New Mexico, 25, name of [MESSAGE REDACTED].

Most of my RPG experience is with D&D (3.x and 4th), though I've tried a variety of other systems/games, and my general idea is that if you have an idea for a game, we can find a system that's close enough.  I also enjoy other non-traditional board games, like Settlers of Catan, Powergrid, Gulliotine, Mucnkin, and so-on.  Even introduced my partner's mother to Settlers of Catan, and she's gotten hooked and recruited other bored stay-at-home wives to play with her.  It's quite amusing.

As for myself... eh.  I'm opinionated, elitist, more then a bit of a jerk.  And yes, I think I'm better then you.  While I have no illusions of making a career of it, I do doodle and sketch, and to show off my amateur pieces I include links to my most recent stuff down in my sig.  You may now go "ooh" and "awww".
A wild EscherEnigma appears!

He looks on with disapproval.

ITS SUPER EFFECTIVE!

I'm absolutely horrible at shooting aliens in Halo on the XBox.  Give me a mouse and keyboard any day of the week.

Hullo one and all

I'm Mark from Cheshire, Britain. I was born in 1971 and have lived within the same five-mile radius all my life. I'm a Database Adminstrator (SQL Server) with a large local company and live with my wife and various animals.

I've been D & D'ing since the very early days of high school (early 1980s), starting with the Red Box Basic set, moving onto Expert as we levelled up, also playing the Blue Books AD & D in parallel, We also dabbled in Runequest, Traveller and a curious "James Bond" RPG in those days.

After meeting my wife in the early 1990s, we invested in the "First Quest: introduction to Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition" set, and later the 3.5 core ruleset with the addition of the Dragonomicon and the Ghost Walk campaign expansion.

To be fair, we never really got all that far with playing due to lack of time, but this week we have rekindled our interest, ordered the 4e core ruleset and printed off the "How To Start" info from here at WOTC. I hope Nicola will be creating her first character this evening.

We will be mainly playing "duets", as we don't have anyone close by who could expand the party, but Nicola is quite happy to take on a couple of characters once she gets going.

My other hobbies include video-gaming, keeping tropical and marine fish, reading, science and history.
