Haha! I have been looking for this on and off for months! I think this is a great thread and that the people here are great people!

Though, I wonder wonder about your choices on ability scores for the hobgoblin. As far as the class spread that the present ability score bonuses offer, the hobgoblin should be "Excellent" at assassin, infernal warlock/hexblade, and firebender (if you use the Avatar 4e rules! xD). And to me does not really fit what a hobgoblin is to me. Besides, its the same ability score bonuses as a kobold!

For a race that "lives for war and bloodshed," should not the primary ability scores reflect this? I really see hobgoblins more frequently in heavy armor than in leather armor, so in my opinion should they not get Strength and not Dexterity. I think Constitution and Charisma are fine, but I wonder if a different pre-determined would be better.

I suggest "Charisma, and either Constitution or Strength." By upgrading from the kobold to dragonborn array, the class spread for the hobgoblin becomes far more appropriate. Warlord, infernal warlock, dragon/storm sorcerer, and others. I know that is not what the Monster Manual offers the Hobgoblin, but there you go. Just my feels on the subject.
