Well, while I still welcome gear advice, the gear guide is done and formatted and up. Next up is...I dunno. I guess I should do epic powers. The to-do list looks like:

  • Epic powers
  • An eternal seeker guide
  • The big comparative religion guide
  • Multiclassing guide, with ideas for stuff worth poaching
  • Builds, including outlines and sample builds
  • Guide to builds at heroic and paragon
  • Starter builds (including editing and formatting BRJN's stuff)
  • Better text for paragon paths and feats
  • Skills
  • Backgrounds
  • A pony

I would start with the pony first, as everything always works out once you have a pony.

Well, I started on the epic powers. They're about half done on the scratch pad.

Re: gear. Don't bother.

Seriously, there's just way too much chaff to go through.

If you know or hear of some item that's particularly good for Invokers, then mention it. But there is no need to mention (e.g.) that Dice of Auspicious Fortune are good.

I already did gear, and it's in the guide. :S I didn't rate it all, that's craziness. I just went through and noted everything I could find that you might want to chase after for an invoker, whether it's good for invokers in particular or everyone. Not everyone already knows about all the basic items.

That'll teach me to post before reading. Sorry.

Epic powers are up, the whole guide was updated with grammar edits and factual corrections and such, the to-do list is updated, and the scratch pad has a barely-started critvoker. I am going to sleep.

Thanks for the guide, I've found it very helpful for sorting through build options for my late-Paragon Preservation Invoker.

I'm not sure if you're much interested in covering synergies with other classes in this guide, but my group found a really nice feat combo recently.  I took Broadened Manifestation and the Warlord and Barbarian in my party both took Agile Opportunist.  Now every time I use an encounter or daily attack I can slide both of them with my Covenant Manifestation and they each get a free melee basic attack as an immediate reaction.  It goes without saying that this has the potential to add a lot to the party's damage output over the course of an encounter.

This combo is also very flexible because the wording of Agile Opportunist says "when you are push/pulled/slid into a square adjacent to an enemy," which doesn't rule out sliding from one adjacent square into another one.  So, the basic tactic is to get them into flanking positions while I slide them in circles around an enemy, whacking away at it every time.  This combo may not look as appealing to defenders who want to save their immediate action for their mark effects, but it has been working out splendidly for us.

I am, I'm just not sure where or how. I'll note this somewhere and fit it into the guide once I find a home for it.

In the meantime, I took down the critvoker build because I just wasn't getting into it. Instead, I've got the start of a comparative religion guide going up. I think I may have underestimated what will go into it.

The god guide is updated on the scratch pad. It still needs a LOT of formatting and cleanup, the rest of the God Fragments, a check of miscellaneous paragon paths and epic destinies, and a ton of prose. But the shape of it is there.

This is going to be a massive subguide.

The religion guide continues apace. Almost all of the organization is taken care of; now I need to start writing writeups for every domain and religion. Sounds like fun!

Also, I'm going to need to sift for religion-specific options I omitted from the main guide because they suck. Obviously, this is not a high priority, but I need to remember to hit the seven different Raven Queen articles for that.
