Chaos  and Order of the Elements: Raicial Traits

Within each of us are the same kinds of powers which live within each of us, yet the greatest similarity is the massive differences which live with in each of us. Each is born with a different elemental force within... be it the stones of the mountains, the waves of the ocean, the thunder of the storm, the crackle of flame or the tornado of the wind. Here is what is the same and yet very different to each of us:

Ability Scores Bonus: Strength and Intelligence is of value to most if not all classes to some level. At least one build per class uses one or the other and many uses them for primary stats.

Skill Bonuses: Endurance bonus is nice to have in certain situations, but you don't get a bonus from your abilities. Nature is useful if you take a primal path, need food in nature or to identify a natural monster, but no Wisdom bonus will not help. Some net gain, but no net loss.

Elemental Origin: Not sure how this will help or how it can hinder either.

Elemental Manifestations: This can vary due to the different manifestations you take.

Earthsoul: Good for defenses since it adds to the Fort save (+1) and to saving throws (+1). It helps fight diseases and poison as well as keeps you moving on marches, also you can shake off an effect on a roll of 9 (9+1=10, from my understanding) giving you a greater span of protection. The power granted by it Earthshock is a boon to those with high Strength/Dexterity/Consitutions, and those with Melee attacks who can take advantage of the target being prone. Ranged Earthshock users find it not so useful, as well as low Str/Dex/Con users. But the fact you can choose the ability to use at the start does boost the power, as well as the bonus increase to attack rolls.

Firesoul: Bonus to reflex (+1) allows you to get out of the blast of area effect users like Controllers. A leveling resistance to fire is extremely useful as it is a common form of damage, but from enemies and nature. Firepulse is a good weapon against foes as it levels up as you grow. Increase bonus to attack rolls, additional damage which tends to the high side.. great for use.

Stormsoul: Good for defenses since it adds to the Fort save (+1), it helps fight diseases and poison as well as keeps you moving on marches. Resistance to lightning is not as useful as fire or cold, but any resistance is useful especially as it levels up. Promise of Storm is of great use if one focuses on building on the power. It requires looking for lightning/thunder powers, boosting by feats (good for the Genasi as it has such elemental feats), and Arcane power users have the bonus of Arcane Admixture (AP) ... a must take feat. Otherwise Promise of Storms is just average.

Watersoul: Breathing underwater is always of help if you are having an adventure near water whether inland with lakes and rivers or on the high seas. Bonus to saves against ongoing damages (+1) is going to help keep the health drain from attacks down. Swiftcurrent has to be one of the greatest moved based powers. Able to move over land or sea at your normal speed, no penalties for squeezing, ignore difficult terrain, move threw enemy spaces, and no damage from terrain which cause it... might useful for when you have to get somewhere with out much hassle.

Windsoul: Cold resistance is less useful then fire, but more then lightning. Flying by way of Windwalker is of good use as you land gentley at the end of the move, making you able to skip over foes for a better shot at them.

Primordials of the Blades: Martial Genasi

Additional Aid: Mengu74, x3nth10n

Fighter: Show

Great Weapon (Str, Con) / Guardian (Str, Dex/Wis): Both of these builds hold one major factor, all Fighter based powers are connected to Strength. Damage and Attack rolls are influenced by this ability, which means you are going to have a stronger boost due to your ability bonus.  So Earthsouls and Firesouls are good uses for this class, as main class ability and ability bonus combine for a powerful encounter power (strength based).

Ranger Show

Archer Dex, Str, Wis: Not bad, but not the strongest suit for the class. Half the powers are boosted due to ability bonus, but your main use ones are not. Earthsouls and Firesouls are great due to connection to your ability bonus (Str) or this classes main ability (Dexterity).
Two-Blades Str, Dex, Wis: Boost for around half of the powers the Ranger uses with your main ones being boosted by your ability bonus, plus the Earthsoul/Firesoul is increased due to it as well.

Rogue Show

Brawny Dex, Str, Cha: Not a strong suit, but the best choice of the builds I know of. Earthsouls and Firesouls are great due to connection to your ability bonus (Str) or this classes main ability (Dexterity). It bonus is lifted with the right selection of manfestation granting extra durability like that of the Earthsoul and it's fort bonus. Windsoul does help with getting up for those cat burglar types.
Trickster Dex, Cha, Str: Your powers are not linked with the abilities you excell at, and no elemental powers. The only bonus you have is the soul connection with Earth and Fire. Earthsouls and Firesouls are great due to connection to your ability bonus (Str) or this classes main ability (Dexterity). Fire is likely a favourite do to a Reflex connection to Dexterity, but the Fort bonus will also help if you need it.

Warlord Show

Inspiring Str, Cha, Int: A bonus to your first and third strongest abilities. Not the strongest build, but still enough to gain a bonus against your foes. Earthsouls and Firesouls are good uses for this class, as main class ability and ability bonus combine for a powerful encounter power (strength based).
Tactical Str, Int, Cha: A bonus to second and first abilities, making it a strong built. Tactics is the game for the Genasi, which means the strongest Warlords will be this type. So Earthsouls and Firesouls are good uses for this class, as main class ability and ability bonus combine for a powerful encounter power (strength based). A good manifastation for a Tactical Warlord is the Watersoul, do to the freedom of using attacks from underwater and a bonus to saves.

General Note: It would help to Multi-class into a class with elemental powers or use an elemental based paragon path with connection to Strength/Constitution/Dexterity for most of the Martial classes.

Primordials of the Wands: Arcane Genasi

Additional Aid:Mengu74

Bard Show

Cunning  Cha Int Con/ Valorous Cha Con Int: A cunning Bard makes use of one of your strongest suits, the keen edge of your wit. A Valorous Bard makes use of their Con replacing Strength as it's dual aspect. Intellect as a primary aids the Valorous and Constitution as a secondary aids the cunning Bard.
Prescient Cha Wis Int: These are not a boon to you, but not a bane. The fact your intellect could give you some aid with the spells you cast in this class.

Sorcerer Show

Wild Cha Dex Str: Not much for the optimizing option, this works more for a thematic story telling option as the wild energies matches the Elemental Chaos which Genasi blood come from. Could be of use for story telling playing or maybe if you are working for experience bonuses for role-playing. Either way no bane or boon.
Cosmic Cha Str Dex/ Dragon Cha Str Dex/ Storm Cha Dex Str: Cosmic and Dragon both have the use of strength in their blood. Dragon source with a mix of Genasi soul, Paragon path and magic items can create a character with layered elemental resistances. Dragon Guardian PP (AP) is great for this as it adds another Dragon resistance. Cosmic adds a selectable resistance to Cold, Psychic or Radiant resistance... which can stack the deck when you know the foes you will be facing. The Storm Source is great with the Stormsoul as all of it's powers are Thunder and/or Lightning based and those are enhanced by the Promise of Storms.

Swordmage Show

Assaulting   Int Str Con: The assaulting Swordmage is great as all of your ability bonuses are enhancements for the build. Many of the Manfestation powers are great for attacks, and there is even a feat for this racial build... Elemental Assault (FRPG). It allows you to choose the elemental force based on Manfestation you have.
Ensaring Int Con Str /Shielding Int Con Str: These have been boosting due to Constitution being able to replace Strength as a stat. Now a Genasi can also become a great Ensnaring and Shielding Swordmage.

Warlock Show

Deceptive Cha, Int, Con
--Fey (Cold), Dark, Star (Cold, Radiant)
This build is no bane or boon as it has a bonus with intellect in the secondary stat, yet most of the pacts with this build are without much Genasi elements (as listed in FRPG). Dark mostly has poison and necrotic damage, so until the Venomsoul and Corpsesoul manfestations arrive it is without use. Fey and Star are mostly cold and one other non-manfestation element (Psychic and Radiant). Fey does have an advanage with moves it to Blue station: Storm Scourge from Arcane Power.

Scourge Con, Int, Cha
--Infernal, Star (Cold, Radiant), Vestage
This build does have the elemental powers in the Infernal and Vestage builds, as well of the Intellect bonus, and now you can access the Con stat to boost your power. Cold, Lightning and Fire powers are not unusual in the Infernal build, Vestage is a bit lighter but does have the elemental powers most of the other builds lack.

Balance
Con, Cha, Int
--Star (Cold, Radiant)
First and third level ability boost, lack of elements... this is not the build that you want to be using. If you do, Elemental Admixture is your friend.

Wizard Show

Control Int Wis Dex/Con/ Illusionist Int Cha/ Summoner Int Con/ War Int Dex Wis/Con
Intellect is the wizard's strength and it is a strength Genasi have. It is also the province of the wizard to control elemental forces. Even those who focus on elements not used by Genasi like the Illusionist, can pick up one or two powers of elemental force. Or at least use Elemetal Admixture (AP) to add the damage to an at will attack or your most powerful spells. Now with extra powerful skills with the summoning of creatures of magic.

Primordials of the Claws: Primal Genasi

Additional Aid: Mengu74

Barbarian Show

Thaneborn Str Cha Con
Whirlwind Str Dex
Rageblood Str Con Cha
The Barbarian of these builds have the advantage of having the boost to a primary ability. Strong souls for these builds would be the ones with the melee powers like Earth or Fire. Water is good when trying to move through any kind of terrain. The Rageblood would also be great yet there is a problem since you would have to sacrifice a primary stat for a secondary one.
Thunderborn Str Con
The Thunderborn matches well for Stormsoul as most of their powers are based on the thunder and lightning, which is powered up by the Stormsoul. It also get the bonus for strength.

Druid Show

Guardian  Wis Con/ Swarm Wis Con
These are the best hope you can have for playing a druid, but it is not the best options out there.
Predator Wis Dex
On the face of it, Genasi does not make good Druids. The bonuses are all wrong. It might make a good choice only for role-playing reasons or if you want to play a game with a handicap for yourself.

Seeker Show

Protecting This is the best choice for this class as it uses your strength as a secondary boost.
Vengeful Less useful as it has none of your strengths in it.
Yet in the elemental aspects common in Controllers is useful for the Genasi character as you have boost and strength in this area.

Shaman Show

Bear Wis Con Int
World Speaker Wis Con Int/Dex
The Bear Shaman is average due to it having a second and third level bonus, while the world Speaker has the same problem if you don't use the dexterity build. It does give you a needed bonus for the for reflex saves, but having bonuses in Wisdom and Constitution would be better.
Eagle Wis Dex Con
The Eagle Shaman have one stats in common with the Genasi. It's reflex bonus is covered by the Dex stat needed.
Panther Wis Int Con
In this case is the Panther is a good fit as the Intelligence stat is in the secondary position. The elemental attacks of the melee powers (Fire and Earth) seems to fit with the natural elements and hint at the post of the Druid. Water allows for waterbreathing, with combat and role-playing advantages (breathing like a fish). Windsoul allows for flight like a bird which also fit when you can't turn into a bird.

Warden Show

Earth Str Con
Life Str Wis
Wild Str Wis
Here we have the bonus in the Prime position. A warden is a defender which means a lot of melee attacks which brings up the Fire and Earth souls. Wind and Water allow for tactical advantage when needed. While certain forms might lend to holding the Stormsoul. Earthwoul is a good link with the Earth Warden for a roleplaying position, and their bonus to fort saves which linkes with it's constitution being strong.
Storm Str Con
Storm Wardens have the natural powers of thunder and lightning, which means the power of the Stormsoul comes into play. Boost to strength means this defender gain an advanatge.

Primordials of the Books: Divine Genasi

Additonal Aid:

Avenger Show

Commanding Wis Int Dex
Isolating Wis Int Dex
Commanding and Isolating Avengers play on the strength of the Genasi's powers. Firesouls might be choosen ahead of others due to the bonus to reflexes.
Pursuing Wis Dex Int
Not the best, but not the worse. It's stats are in the third level position, which means it's strength is not as strongly boosted.

Cleric Show

Battle (Strength, Wisdom, Charisma)
This is the build you want, with the strength bonus at the forefront. Melee attacks are common, which brings up the Firesoul and Earthsoul again.
Devoted (Wisdom, Charisma, Strength)
Shielding Wis Cha Str
Not as strong, based on the stats alone. Shielding and being devoted does not bring as much to the genasi as does the Battle Cleric.

Invoker Show

Preserving Wis Int Con
Wrathful Wis Con Int
Malediction Wis Con Int
Preserving is only given an above average due to the  Constitution and Intelligence being in the secondary position. Also the bonus of the rare elemental powers also helps.

Paladin Show

Ardent Str Wis Con
Avenging Str, Cha, Wis
Protecting Cha, Str, Wis
Virtuous Cha Wis Str
Virtuous is a basic throw away build do to the strength position, but Paladin tends to be a great build for the Genasi in the divine start. There is a strong boost for the Ardent and Avenging builds. Melee souls of Fire and Earth are a bonus to this defender.

Runepriest Show

Defiant/Wraithful Strength is the main attribute for this class, and while if you select strength you can't select Constitution... placing a sixteen in strength to get a sixteen in Constituation isn't a bad choice either. The elemental aspect, like most divine class, is not oververtly represented.

Primordials of the Mind's Eye: Psionic Genasi

Ardent Show

Euphoric
Enlightened/Impetuous
Mostly average level abilities, save for the euphoric which nows uses your Constitution as a secondary (14 to 16). The other two mostly use Constitution as a third level skills, with turns them from red to black because of the selectable ability.

Battlemind Show

Resilient/Quick/Harrier

With Constitution now available this goes from red to sky blue, as you gain the primary ability boost (from sixteen to eighteen).

Monk Show

Centered Breath
Stone Fist/Iron Soul
With Strength or Constitution which you can select from, you get strength from this. You just have to boost your dexterity. Centered Breath uses wisdom, so strength only comes into effect as a third level ability.

Psion Show

Telekinetic/Telepathic/Shaper

Psions  have the main power of intellect, your strength. It also has a few  elemental attacks which is why it is the strongest choice for all genasi  who wants to be a Psionic character.
